The developer site has just come back on line and has the GM seed for 10.11 build 15A282b

Edit: 6.07GB

the link redirects to the app store and at the moment is showing no updates available, for me at least.

EDIT it shows in the 'purchased' tab, not the 'updates' tab.

Build number 15A282b. Requires code for MAS and complete re-download. Mine is 6.07GB

So what does this mean? - Would this show as 'purchased' once the official release date has passed?

I always do a clean install on new OS systems. Deciding whether to do it now or after the official release, even though I guess the software will be the same...

You can waste your time now, or you can waste your time then. The end result will be the same.

I cannot answer, all I know is that the GM is downloaded through the MAS.

Developers need to log in to their developer account and accept the new t&c's. Click download on the GM seed page and it will open the MAS and redeem a new code.

Not working for me yet, I redeemed the code but its still downloading the latest Dev. Beta.

I'm doing a clean install now - GM is pretty much the real deal and I probably won't do another clean install for the 'official release'

so it wont appear in the updates page if I don't do anything, like all the beta updtaes did? I have to redownload the whole thing.

I guess they've pulled it. BTW, downloaded filename is 'Install OS X El Capitan Developer Beta.app,' it shouldn't have beta for a GM right?

There is no download yet. "Coming soon."

I had the same, downloaded when it was available and it still said it was a dev beta. It appears they pulled it and will be available later. Just annoying .

Did anybody install from the downloaded installer file? I'm not sure it is the GM seed, it seems like it is the beta 1 file.

I will install the file I downloaded and check the build number for anyone interested. Looks like they posted the wrong file indeed.

EDIT: Install would not progress past verification. Looks like I'm waiting.

Looks like it.

I'm still downloading the file but it's gone from less than an hour to between 5 and 8 hours.
