Perhaps hey pulled it because everyone is just downloading iOS 9 GM and iOS 9.1 Beta 1. It might be too much for the servers.

I meant of the downloaded file, not the number listed on the dev site. The dev betas all required you to download the first beta then incrementally upgrade.

For Beta 7 I got a new code and it replaced Beta 1 in the App Store. So you don't need to install every single update anymore. But I don't know if I get Beta 7, Beta 8 or even the GM now if I download it, because as already mentioned it just shows "Developer Beta" and no number. It's too slow right now to try it.

The GM seed is never a delta update. You have to download the entire installer.

ok so I redeemed the code from Member Center and installed it... It was also 6.07 GB then it was finished installing and I was on 15A263e which is beta 7. I don't know how this happened.. :(o_O

They've put the wrong file up and pulled it after spotting their mistake. It's now "coming soon" on the developer site.

yeah i was very confused when it had a different build # than what they listed and it also has a different name than the original dev installer but I can still download it from the app store (weird?). They say on their website that the GM is supposed to be available to developers today, I hope that's still true

Yeah, I downloaded this as soon as it was up, and installed it. As others have reported this was actually the installer for Beta 7. So I went backwards from Beta 8 to Beta 7 when I installed it! Then I had to update back to Beta 8. Awaiting the GM!

Hmmm, slightly confused here.

I activated the download for what was labelled as the GM on the dev site as soon as it came up.

It downloaded all the way and I installed it, only to be presented with an update option in the MAS asking me to update to Beta 8???

If I'm updating to Beta 8, what on earth is installed now?

I was banking on this being GM as I've stayed away from the beta's for a while in order to get some Xcode work done for the App Store. Hopefully my Time Machine back up of 10.10 is recent.

There was no GM seed, they accidentally added beta 7 installer instead. You have b7 installed, you will need to install b8 and wait for the GM seed to be available later today or tomorrow.
