I could not agree more!

And I'm posting this from my Galaxy S4.

One of my favorite phones, yet I'm an Apple guy that would be thrilled if Apple would get off it's duff and give us a five inch screen and a SwiftKey keyboard!

That's all it would take to make it the best iPhone ever.
100% agreement. At some point I hope Apple will whore up and give the customer what we want. For a lot of consumers a larger screen is perfection.Apple says they are all about perfection so....

It's not going to help with either one of those...

OP just wait for the Google edition of the S4 or root your S4 and install CyanogenMod. I have and it works great for the most part.

How's the battery with CyanogenMod? I currently have the Note II running CLeanRom and the battery life is superb!

You won't miss iPhone. I sure don't. I barely even touch my iPhone anymore. I literally only carry it around when I'm testing TMo's network around here. Hasn't seen an AT&T Sim in ages.

Unless Apple blows it out of the water this fall with a larger iPhone, I might not even grab another one

That's precisely how I feel. Although I always carry a phone for work, and one for personal, the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 combo I'm currently using is lopsided. I end up using the Galaxy 98% of the time and the remaining 2% on the iPhone simply because it's there.

The two concerns I have with the upcoming iPhone is lack of a larger more usable display and iOS 7.

Functionally iOS 7 is decent because Apple copied the best features from the competition. But the colors, even if the rather girly pastels are ignored, are just wrong. Why they chose the transparent and light colors for notifications, controls etc is beyond anything reasonable. They've completely killed "at a glance" speed of use, not to mention the poor color contrast.

If they continue to cling to, or even creep up to a very small 4.3" display as has been recently rumored, they've missed another entire year in which they could have drawn in customers that find screen size a deal maker or breaker.

Of course the hard core Apple iOS lovers will embrace it as they have no choice. This is what Apple capitalizes on and uses to sell what they have.

It's seriously a damn shame people are forced to make a decision between iOS and a larger screen.

If Apple offered up a larger iPhone, it would eliminate that difficult decision for so many people.

You give people that choice in every single one of your other lineups with a screen; why not the iPhone, too, Apple? It's time. It's really really time.

i agree 100%

very tempted to switch to an S4 but i can't seem to do it because i don't want to let go of my iPhone.

I personally do not see the point of a "wireless" charger for me. It still has a wire and something bulky, it takes me a second to plug a usb cable to my phone

I would love wireless charging on my car mount. That way, I can just dock my phone in the mount and it will charge. Right now, if I want to charge my phone, I have to pull out the car charger and plug it in.

Will give a little update..

I am completely torn 50/50 on Iphone5+ Vs. Google S4

Iphone is the workhorse, have everything I need and completely polished.
-Amazing built quality
-Great battery
-Itunes/Podcast/contacts/OSX sync
-Amazing audio quality compared to Samsung phones
-Never found myself "playing" with the phone infact looking at my Usage on verizon my data usage was cut in half compared to when I had an android

Vanilla Android (s4 hardware)
-Big, BEAUTIFUL screen.
-5inch screen in a super slim phone
-Google... Everything (huge google user)
-Customization is endless, always something to play around with
-Airdroid, when it works.... is possibly the best computer/phone sync however it does NOT connect via log in yet.

Any recommendations on Music app for android? Using Appolo? havent really given it a chance yet. Use to be a huge fan of google music but hate the new layout and lack of organization. Itunes spoiled me! :apple:

I have a nexus on verizon, hen i took the chance on trying out the ip5 so i pulled the trigger and got one. 6 months i got pretty tight on money so i sold it and im back on my nexus. I do miss having my ip5 so i'll probably pick up whatever the new model is and get it thought that plan that verizon has where they allow you to get a new phone but pay at full retail but split the cost of the phone over 12 months.

Reading all these threads I have come to realise that there is a new competition amongst consumers. I can't think of any other electronic gadget or device that causes so much tension online or competition, apart from games consoles of course. My television is a Samsung, in fact I own 3 Samsung televisions. My kettle is a Breville and my toaster and microwave is a Kenwood, with my oven being a Whirlpool. We would argue over features on ovens or microwaves or if one toaster browned with a more even consistency than another, well I would hope not. To be frank when I go round a friends house and they have a Sony or Phillips TV I couldn't give a toss really and we tend to say 'oh nice TV' etc etc without getting all argumentative.

Why do mobile phones cause so much conflict here and why do we feel the need to prove beyond all logical thought why one is better than the other? I'm not saying its wrong because its a growing trend online it seems and people appear to be extremely passionate about it, but I'm fascinated to learn why its all gone so tribal? Lets face it they all do the same thing and offer a different experience to suit differing tastes.

I joined Mac Rumors to learn about the iPhone as I am a fairly new convert to it, but find the iPhone thread is mostly full of the same types of threads. Usually complaints about scratches, questions on if a swap on Craigslist is worth it, what phone to have that is better than the iPhone, why does my iPhone die so fast, why hasn't it got a bigger screen, and they are just a few! Apologies if this is dull, but I am struggling to gain anything lately and find myself drawn in to these silly discussions. A little bit of a rant but its one of those mornings :)
