....the build and heat issues should be better by 16, Apple knew full well this model was the beta version but manufacturing was just a go now or else decision and deal with the fallout later for this model....no question that changes were already being started even before release of this model.

I am curious from the bean counters what their acceptable discard returns were? Not that we will ever know.

I was thinking they'd probably ride it out until the release of the 17. What's another few years of consumers complaining? All publicity is good publicity.
I am hoping for 16PM now but at this point it will be a game time decision unless the 12PM goes belly up...some flaws are acceptable but not fatal flaws that cause to many returns and minimum build flaws so for sure not the 15PM.

By 16 did you mean iPhone 16 series?

Same

Also, calling an iPhone a “beta version” is idiotic. The processors get updated every year. When exactly do they move to “release version”? When they’re removed from the Pro line and put in the non-Pro line? ROFL.
Everyone said the same thing about the iPhone X when it came out. My X lasted 6 years without one single issue. Only had to get the battery replaced at year 4 so in my experience it was definitely not a beta device. My 15 ProMax has none of the issues that have been causing all the fear mongering on the forum. I couldn't be happier with the 15 ProMax in every respect and a bunch of negative YouTube videos aren't going to change my opinion

so, from what I am hearing...best to pick up this phone in person for build and just accept heat issues unless it bulges to bad?

Look at it from the other perspective. You can either:
  1. Replace your entire induction stove in your kitchen with your 15 Pro or PM; or
  2. Use it under your wok to make your egg fried rice.
Either way, FUIYOH!!!! 😁

Free heating for colder months, that’s how they should advertise the product and not milk people eyes with titanium

So I hate their new cases, but the phone itself is fine. You should just go ahead and get it if you're considering it. Mine has no problems and I'm loving it.

I think the one thing that is prominent here is that the issue is relative: just because it isn't happening for one person when a lot of people are reporting it (even on the floor models at the stores) doesn't mean that it isn't happening for everyone else. I'd rather save the money and wait until the issue is resolved than take the chance on getting a phone that has the problem. At that point it is less of a purchase and more of a gamble.

Which is the point of the thread…next year the beta that was released this year should be ready for the final release model.

That's how every release of this device is. But for someone to say that everyone should just go and get it despite the problems being reported because theirs is working fine is not a smart decision, especially if not knowing if theirs is an outlier of the reported problems.
