Yeah, that and the size has turned me off. ImI looking at 10 inch screen max.

I really wish Apple would update the iPad mini...

I really like the design and size of the hardware. My specific issues are two-fold; software and price.

The software experience demo’d so far can be described as laggy, at best. If what we’re seeing is a very early build (let's hope :(), why are you showing it off now? What kind of confidence is that going to build in consumers?

The price is an entire different animal. Apple’s hardware is expensive (or overpriced , if I’m less diplomatic ;)), no sugar coating it. This product makes the iPP models look cheap. You’ll likely have to spend a minimum of $1200 for competitive performance on the Slate, and that’s against a 15 month old iPP that is likely getting upgraded later this month and will be available for sale well before the Pixel Slate. Their pricing is putting it squarely against the Surface Pro as well. And yes, I know some will argue otherwise, but the iPP is every bit as functional as this tablet, likely more so, IMO.

I think Google thinks much more highly of their product than consumers will. The Pixelbook is a tough sell for most people and it’s cheaper by comparison.

I preordered a Home Hub. Had to put my $150 credit towards something and we have a smattering of Google Home devices around the house already.
