HAHAHA. What are you smoking? Literally every "IOS" innovation Apple has produced since the iPhone 3G was copied from Google (and implemented years later). Google is like literally Apple's best R&D member. Ther rare occasion Google borrows an idea is fine with me.... Apple still in their debt.

I think you misunderstand the difference between invention and innovation.

You can't invent something and at the same time do innovation.

It has to be third-party only as Google does not have anything similar to Airtags and I doubt Apple will make Airtags work with anything else. This is the highest level of interoperability that can be achieved right now, as things stand.

It is not the highest level that COULD BE, it is the highest level that was built. Google built a Find My network that leverages devices. Meaning any compatible Android device now participates in the network. Apple and Google could have come together on a standard, like they did with Matter, and made it so that a thief, stealing a phone, has no where to go because everyone smartphone they are around is reporting back the location. That is what did not happen that could have.
