I always wonder how often tech companies leak details of their phones to prompt these renders as a way of polling consumers to see how well the design will be received.
If you pair that render with 6 GB of RAM and the latest snapdragon, you'd have a great phone.
I think adding a telephoto lens to the Pixel is also a must. While my Pixel 3 camera was better than my S10 plus, having zoom is no substitute for a telephoto lens. Results are night and day difference no matter how good the software is .
I do want super wide angle, too. I do wish Google would just step up and really give Huawei a run for the money. And put in 8GB of RAM, as Samsung has made that a flagship standard at this point. I don't think Google is really concerned with keeping up with Huawei or even Samsung. They seem to be trying to keep pace with Apple...from a year prior. This snails pace of incremental upgrades from both American based companies just astounds and frustrates me.
Neither seems to show any sense of urgency while Huawei seems determined to show them up at every turn. I suppose they (Apple and Google) feel confident in their captive American audience since we are under a trade ban with Huawei. They seemed to have lost focus on markets outside of the US this year, especially.
Apple has too much hubris tied up in Face ID. It is an amazing piece of tech and I think they rested too long on that particular achievement. Google rests too much on their software advantage. My husband and I take enough photos under enough different circumstances with enough smartphone cameras to know the Pixels don't always win in all circumstances. Even this year's Pixels sometimes can't compete with last year's Huawei P20PRO photos. My husband does still get updates to that phone.
Samsung seems at least to be making an effort and giving it all they've got. They're just a bit scatterbrained in how they do business.
