I got to stop following this thread, as i have oportunity to buy pixel 9 pro xl and ip 15 pm for same price (very good price)… i know i am ip guy, but man, you make it hard to resist to try android for first time ever

Lol I ordered a 9 Pro Fold yesterday morning in porcelain when I saw it available for 9/18-9/25 delivery. 🤦‍♂️ I had a second Pixel 8 Pro to trade in and with the $350 Google store credit plus the 10% credit I get for my Google one membership it came up to $511 store credit. Hard to turn that down. I'll be selling off either the Z Fold 6 or OP Open to cover the rest of the cost.

It's the best battery life on any Pixel I've owned. It sips on standby and drains slower during streaming and daily tasks. Reception is better too.

I clean that case every day or two, rinse in the sink with some little soap, then pat it dry with towel. And it shows a bit of wear and tear already, like lighter gray areas and darker areas. Thinking the Hazel color case won't show that.

I've always used Whoosh for my screens and usually I will just wipe down the case too if needed, agree most likely shows less with Hazel.

My battery life has been spectacular so far! It has been less than a week but battery life is right up there with my S24U and 15 PM!

That's the secret. If it doesn't have to hunt for a signal, it drains a lot less battery. The trick with the iPhone minis was always to turn off the 5G, because the modem wasn't particularly good and the speed difference was nothing, but the battery savings were totally worth it.

Signal and why I always tend to test stuff myself bc some people will say "oh my battery is horrible this phone or that phone is the worst " meanwhile you are working out of a dungeon or area so bad while I'm in NY with high speeds and great reception. I tend to go by my experience and current or previous phones with the same usage by the same spots. IMO this phone has really good reception. I think Google has been trending in the right direction.

I'm a couple days in and no oily smudges that I can see. I have generally pretty clean and dry hands but what you see in my pic is a couple days of use.

I think many brands upped their game this year. I said in January that the S24+ was the best Android I'd used, then tried the Xiaomi 14 which is also incredible (and would be my daily if WiFi calling worked and it had band 71).

The Pixel 9XL feels very different in daily use than prior Pixels. The build quality is the best of any Pixel, as is the screen. I don't perceive any stutter which plagued the Pixels 7 and 8 in my case, the 6 is too long ago and I can't remember. Battery life has been on par with my S24+, definitely not worse. The speakers have gotten a massive upgrade compared to the 8 Pro. I said earlier maybe my 8 Pro was just defective, as the speakers were very muddy and not good. The ultrasonic fps works for me 100% of the time and is lightning quick.

The only issue I've run into is it doesn't play nice with all of my wireless chargers, so I needed to order a different one.

I get there's still a newness factor here, but this phone is very different from prior Pixels. Have to use it to feel it.

Saw those articles, the wireless charging issue I think is an issue with certain chargers as it works with most of mine and doesn't with 2 of them. No camera tilt on mine.

All my chargers so far are working including the Pixel Stand which is the one used while I sleep, I will do more testing with the camera to see if anything crops up with no pun intended.
