The white set is for my M1 MBA (work Mac); the black set is for my M2 Mini Pro etc...

Saves having to faff pairing/unpairing all the time (more so the Mini)

Plus when I'm across in Dublin; having a proper keyboard & trackpad makes life easier rather than trying to work off my MBA, more so with my slab hands 😂

How’s stability on the dev beta? I’m installing the public beta right now but typically don’t mess with the developer beta. But this time around, all the new AI features aren’t available until 18.1 which would mean the dev beta.

Oh I only have the Public Beta. Not Messi g with the dev either but just got really excited to see that we’re finally getting a magic eraser feature. Haha

Public Beta is good though. Really liking the app tinting. Looks really good how it tints the widgets too. And dark icons are almost there. I’d say about 15% of them don’t change yet but it’s nice knowing that Apple will enforce the app developers to update their apps to change.

I have magic eraser on my iPhone. I’m not on any kind of beta

It's about an hour drive from us so we only go a few times a year, love going at Christmas.

I'd be looking at the base 9 not the Pro... £571 after trading in my Pixel 5. Worried about being shafted on the trade in price though once they get it.

Yes get it and never been to Cheshire Oaks; only down the M6 from us here in Preston

But for me it means mingling with the public and shopping... 2 things I really don't like 😂

I always try to go when we have time off work so as little people as possible are there, same with anywhere really. 😆

Well it's in the basket, £79.90 Google store credit from Google One as well which buys me a Bellroy case, assuming the 9 Pro case fits the standard 9 as that's the only Bellroy that has Magsafe.

Hey guys, I have a question regarding the free Google 1 subscription offer with the purchase of a Pixel 9 Pro. Some are saying they are getting Google store credit because of subscribing to Google 1. Does that apply as well to the free offer?

I ask because I don't have any particular interest in Google 1, however I do have a particular interest in free store credit. :p

If you want to get free Google store credit you need to be subbed before you purchase.
 
I keep getting late notifications; many come in only when I unlock the phone. I've reset the entire phone recently because of this and it's still happening. All battery optimizations are off.

This has been happening for years with Android. Why does Google think this is acceptable?

I love this phone, but, ugh. I shouldn't get an important news notification only when I unlock the phone. :/

To be fair my work laptop is a PC, and I have a PC and a macbook, it has PC and Mac layout. which is actually very confusing tbh.

As for Drinking Tea's notification issue, I have noticed the same, it's not as bad as my S24U was.

Having said that I got paid for my S24 U today and I'm getting all £492 for my P8P, so I can pay off my Amex. I also get cashback through that :)

Totally get you. That's why I bought an XL knowing full well I'd want the regular sized Pro.
It's been nice using the XL, though, but only really indoors. The minute I'm out and about with it it's just too big for me to use one handed.

I've always been a smaller phone guy, the S24 Ultra is a new experience for me and it is a bit hard to get used to out and about.

If I didn't have my Ultra I'd have just waited for the 9 Pro I think but can't justify 2 "Pro" phones. 😂

You could enter this simple command to fix notifications.

adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable
