I use mine in general beside my computer, if I'm talking to clients I can navigate on the trackpad on my MBA with the trackpad and take down phone numbers etc on the iPad besides me.
For me it basically replaces paper, I'm far from artistic, so I find it useful for markups on quotes (like on pictures) and also signing documents, when I write something it gets stored in the cloud, so when my wife "cleans up" I don't get papers that I need "cleaned up" never to return.

I use Good Notes and Notes , I also kind of like using the pencil as just a pointer to tap on buttons , just seems intuitive.

For the record and some of the above posts, I'm certainly not the targeting demographic, but I'm really glad I purchased it, it I really like it.

I use it mainly for note taking. I have a digital planner in Notability.

Back when I was working and doing presentations, I would import the PowerPoint into Notability and highlight right on screen as I was presenting. Would also write in attendees answers and comments to my questions. Worked much better than a separate whiteboard or flip chart. After the class would send the marked up presentation to the participants. I loved using the iPad and pencil this way.

I would also use the Pencil for note taking in meetings.

I have years of both personal and work notes. I prefer to do most of my notetaking by hand, and have actually come to prefer the Apple Pencil over physical media. I simply have two separate notebooks - one personal, one work - and everything goes in those which allows me to search, add media and links, etc. For both writing and artistic pursuits either medium - digital or physical have their own charms and benefits. Choose what makes you happy.
HI All,

I got a good deal on the apple pencil and it was late at night. I've only played around for five minutes with it. I'm not the target demographic since I'm not into drawing, I thought maybe if it did a decent job making my scribbles into text it could be useful.

So for those that own a pencil what do you like to use it for? Are there some surprising uses you didn't expect?
Not sure yet if I'll keep it but still intrigued. I'll also check if apple is adding anything interesting for the pencil in the new OS.

Thanks for any feedback,
Philly
I tutor math and physics, online, with Zoom. Works great with whiteboard apps.

I recently came across a bunch of legacy computing material: pen and paper!

Guys, any idea what I can use this stuff for?!?
