Not true at all. The display on the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are excellent.
You don’t notice the blurred text due to the screen’s higher density relative to its size (ppi). All oleds struggle with crushing blacks and grey scaling. Even the iPhone and Apple Watch (especially the Apple Watch).

People with grainy displays who really annoyed are you going back to an older led / mini led model?
I want to use the Apple Pencil Pro for illustrations since it has the twist mechanic. So if the grain stays I will try to live with it or get the M2 Air instead (if I can get over the 60Hz display) as a stop gap for M5 iPP when they fix the graininess?

Jesus H. Christ a screen shot will not show it….this is typical of the people who claim to not have grain….post a screenshot 😒

Also judging by the giant bold text options you have on your eyesight isn’t gonna notice grain let alone standard sized type 😆

The grain issue is mostly noticeable at around 25%.
Pic there’s nothing to see here
There is something, but the photo quality is rather poor with jpeg artefacts so it is hard top be sure.

The sequence for folks normal goes as follows:
  1. "I have no grain" claim.
  2. Posts screenshot.
  3. Posts blurry / low resolution photo.
  4. Posts good photo which clearly shows grain.
  5. Wishes they had never looked.

Well all I can say is if you have to go to such lengths to try and see an issue ,it really isn’t an issue is it ,unlike banding on an Oled tv where you can see it day in day out .
I see no difference between my M1 11 and my M4 panel with so called graininess ,however what I do see is a world of difference with HDR content on the M4 👍 which is the reason I bought it.

That looks like a grain free screen (or minimal grain screen if that is not camera artifact)

The M4 iPP I returned looks like the attached photo. IRL it looks like the circled area, please zoom in to see the grains. Other non circled part are camera artifacts. IRL with the naked eye I can see it from around 8 inches and it messes up illustration work texture accuracy.

Is yours not like in the photo circled area?

I am curious. How far do you normally have the iPad Pro away from your eyes?

I have mine at more than 12 inches, and actually usually a fair bit more than 12 inches. I am not an illustrator though.

I simply cannot see any grainy areas at all on mine even with my eyes as close as possible , so maybe I got lucky .

That’s very noticeable grain ….seriously wtf is up with peoples eyes. I guess in this case I’m jealous so many peoples eyes are that terrible to not notice.

Usually 14 inches for watching content and reading websites. When drawing or looking at artwork I get a lot closer to about 6-8 inches to see the details. That is why the grain is so obvious at that point.

I hope that you got lucky, because that means we can get lucky too.

You mean Wezzywebb's photo or my photo that has very "noticeable grain"?
