Just remember, if it's free, you are the product. And by product, I mean that they are profiting off of your privacy, instead of money.
I don't believe in privacy and Internet goes together. I am pretty much spetical about Apple and privacy as well. It isn't like Apple isn't profit out of your data, they might sell your data to someone else, doesn't mean they can't make profit from your data.
I am sure banks will use your data from online banking, credit card activities to generate offer for you. I am pretty sure your ISP track your online activities, your mobile phone provider will know text message being sent, your whereabouts etc.
I don't really bothered by Google reading my emails, if anything, I prefer they have copy of my email and have ability to access my email upon my request, if needed.
If you can't have complete privacy, it is more or less no privacy. I rather want take advantage of free offer.
