You’re right, it’ll be the same pencil. The magnets are already split now. It's the charging window that needs to move.
Also, how would the Apple Pencil 1 pair with USB-C iPads?

Probably not either. I think the charging coil in the iPad will have to moveYou’re right, it’ll be the same pencil.
It will cost a max of USD 1900 exclusive of taxeslooks like my 11 inch pro oled 1tb with cellular is gonna cost as much as my sisters first car lol
Should cost approx USD 2100 exclusive of taxesTrying to do the math on the cost of a new iPad Pro 13". I'd like have 16GB of RAM, and 1TB. as well of cellular. I know only guesses can be off until the new iPad Pro is released.
I go to Apple's site, and it seems like you can't really order the M2. I tried to get some price info. there to help with my own guess of the iPad as I would like to outfit it. But I could add anything to the purchase basket.
Of course there is always tax to deal with.
You could be bang on with the Pro pricing

No price changes in the Air, since it's just an update in the processor.
Pro 13" increases by $100 and the 11" increases by $200 due to screen parity now.
This allows Apple to sell iPad models at a good spread of price points.
Thanks! My "piggy bank" will cover this estimated cost. I'll have to dig deeper for the Magic Keyboard!Should cost approx USD 2100 exclusive of taxes
talking of 12.9 cellular 1tb only
The lower end could be USD 1900 for your spec
The higher end could be USD 2200 for your spec
Exclusive of taxes
Talking of 2024
Basically, if you want the 12.9 version, expect an increase equivalent to $200+-100 compared to the current iPad Pro for the same storage, but the base would probably be 256Thanks! My "piggy bank" will cover this estimated cost. I'll have to dig deeper for the Magic Keyboard!

Trickier to predict than I thought, to be honest.
Air will have 128, 256, 512I’d go with these but just remove the 256GB on the Air - forcing people who need that configuration to buy Pro or splash out for 512.
Bold prediction. Apple loves upgrade paths that encourage consumers to spend way more than they should. Consider the current Air arrangement of 64 -> 256, with the obvious happy medium of 128 not available.Zero chance it won’t have 256
Apple significantly increased the prices when the EUR/USD value fell. Now that it is stable and closer to previous levels again, I‘d expect them to adjust prices which would effectively mean keeping the current prices or (more likely) only go up less compared to US prices. I can‘t imagine the current iPad Pros selling well in Europe at their current price. If the 13in Pro starts at more than $1,200 then I can't wait to see the price here in Europe, lol. I suspect it simply won't sell well at all. iPads are already struggling and price rises will make this worse in the region. The only positive take is that exchange rates are more favourable versus when the M2 iPad Pro launched. And don't get me started on the magic keyboard. The current version is nearly £400 already.
The base iPad has historically had lower storage options than anything else. I think it will stay at 64/256 while the Airs and the next Mini increase. The Air and Mini have been sold in those variants since Q2 2019, the base since Q4 2022.Yeah, but Apple lately has raised the storage on their devices.
iPhone recently received an increase in storage while taking away the 128GB iPhone Max model to start it at 256GB instead. It's either Apple upgrades the storage or the price (maybe both) ... I believe one will see a change.
And those 64GB models are the base iPads... I don't see those storage configurations changing, but the iPad Airs and Pros.
That's what i'm hoping, but let's see. Not long to wait now. The pricing is make or break for me as my 2018 iPad Pro is doing just fine (battery aside).Apple significantly increased the prices when the EUR/USD value fell. Now that it is stable and closer to previous levels again, I‘d expect them to adjust prices which would effectively mean keeping the current prices or more probably only go up less compared to US prices.
But looking at Apple current strategy on iPad Airs… it’s always been to upsell users, 128gb to start and 512gb as the other storage tier. Seems on brand to me.Air will have 128, 256, 512
Zero chance it won’t have 256
Also unlikely Pros would have anything below 256, and would have all the way up to 2/4 TB
This will change when all storage sizes are fairly bigBut looking at Apple current strategy on iPad Airs… it’s always been to upsell users, 128gb to start and 512gb as the other storage tier. Seems on brand to me.
While have the new iPad Pro users storage tier starting at 256gb.
You might very well be right, but I’m looking at it from their current strategy. This will change when all storage sizes are fairly big
it will cost $300 to go from 128 to 512, Apple needs a tier in between at +100 for 256
If they don’t have 256, the jump in price to be 512 would have to be kept to 200 instead of 300, possible but unlikelyYou might very well be right, but I’m looking at it from their current strategy.
And it’s not a stretch for Apple to start Airs at 128gb while not having a 256gb.. to entice users to go with a 512gb at a more attractive price.
