Thank you
Nice i'll have to give it a try later tonight. Will report back with my results.
Is it SOMEHOW possible to install ML on unsupported macs without the need of an supported mac? thanks a lot!!
Would be really great. I just updated my MacBook Early 2008 with a new SSD *argh* thanks for your work!
Well.. It can even run on my mid-2007 MacBook White with 1GB of ram and a 5400RPM Sata HDD.. I don't understand why Apple would wanna discontinue these old but reliable Macs.
Is there any possible way to install 10.8 on early MBA'08?
----------
It is very simple Because if you like the 10.8 very much you will have to buy a new mac
I dont have the SharedSupport folder with the InstallESD.dmg, do you have any idea why is so?
Because the file you downloaded from a torrent site is already the InstallESD.dmg file, just renamed.

UPDATE: 2/22/2012 The guide has been modified to fix "Kernals_CL" problem, and a compatible Mac is no longer required

Great find, thanks! On a side note... I was browsing Apple's dev area and found this
So according to Apple, Mac OS X 10.8 server would run supported on more Macs than 10.8 client.... hmmm?

9. 2 ways to perform this step:
a) Manually copy and install the right kext.
b) Use kexthelper (skip step 12)
Code:MacBook2,1 - AppleIntelGMA950.kext, AppleIntelGMA950VADriver.bundle, AppleIntelGMA950VLDriver.bundle MacBook3,1 - AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext, AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle, AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext, AppleIntelGMAX3100VLDriver.bundle MacPro1,1/2,1 - upgrade graphics card to GT210 or HD 5770 No kext required. 7300GT untested!
Follow the guide and search for x3100 64 bit driver from 10.6.2 and you will be nearly happy. What I miss is the lost of smb and afp shares on my MB3.1 late 2007 X3100. Kernel 32 no longer support smb and afp. Now, i am getting this error: The additional components needed to install OS*X can't be found. What should i do? Any help?
