Your best bet would be to actually upgrade to MacPostFactor 1.0.1 since that has a lot of patches and updates compared to MLPostFactor. (and you can have 10.8.5)

Installed 10.8.5 using MacPostFactor without problems and everything is working. I even downloaded the updates and then used the re-hack option.
What should be used to update a MacBook (late 2007) (MacBook3,1)? It actually has a 64-bit EFI (and is 2.2 Ghz C2D, 4GB RAM) but X3100 graphics.

Need Help! I have a Mac Mini 1,1 upgraded to 2,1 the way it is described in Ntkas forums. However, I cannot get to lion, the lion will not upgrade natively from app store and I can't modify the plist file without Lion. However my other Mac is a 2015 macbook Pro, running latest OsX version and will not let me download Lion from AppStore because it is too old. What can I do? I cannot find anyone with Lion, I even tried to download Parallels but since I redeemed the code already, it is already in my purchases and does not allow me to download it to external drive either. Going crazy here. What am I missing?? Thank you!
hi everyone this is my very first post , just got a macbook 2.1 running lion but kinda slow on the animation side closing openning windows....[ any idea why ? ] so i decided to upgread to ML [ good idea? ] the problem is im trying to use the macpostfactor for the past 3 days and it just stuck on the skip ad nothing i can do any sugestions ?! thank you
I had that problem as well, but just closing the installer and reopening it worked for me. If you are trying to install it directly to you HDD, maybe you could try to make a bootable usb instead.

im trying to make a botable usb since i have 2 computer [ i thinkk its agood time to ask this , is a mac mini 2.1 2.4gh 2006 good enough for 1080p youtube play back ? i have problem with mine playing youtube at all conected to a tv , would this ML help with the speed ? both for the macbook and mini , ] most importantly how manytimes do i have to try to get lucky ? i did it like 2 days
and 8gig flash is enough right ?
Yes, 8GB is enough. But I don't know if upgrading the OS will have any effect on how fast everything goes. I had to make a bootable drive on a Yosemite mac for it to work, so maybe try that.thank you for the reply

There are original Lion USB sticks on eBay. If you can find someone with a Mac that supports Lion even if its not currently running it

you could ask them to let you loose on their Mac with the Lion installer on your External drive.
In case of future issues, you should probably clone that install before you change anything & so you can restore or clone onto your 1,1 Mini independently. As I recall you can probably use the old & free CarbonCC to accomplish that for a one-off.

I've been trying to use MacPostFactor v1.0.1 on two different machines for the past couple of hours, but keep getting stuck at "Waiting you to click on 'Skip Ad'". I've closed and reopened it multiple times with no luck. Does anyone know how I might be able to avoid this?

As far as I know, this is a known issue, so no fixes as of yet.

You can always partition your HDD and try to put MacPostFactor on that partition.
No, you can have 10.8.5 with MacPostFactor as well. (Or even Mavericks or Yosemite, but without graphics acceleration)
10.8.5 works perfectly!
But after updating Finder does not open, the mouse pointer sticks to the Launchpad. Everything freezes. It was good before updating all.
10.8.5 reinstalled three times. Did not help. After updating all bad.
I changed the HDD to SSD and 4GB of PAMM may be because of this?
I'll try to update that would in turn learn from what crash
Are you using MacPostFactor 1.0.1? After updating did you use the rehack option from the recovery partition?
