Vancouver, being coastal, isn't gonna be all that arid. :)

Whether lack of humidity or something else (maybe my hairy chest?), what I wrote was my experience here in north GA.
It's fairly dry in the winter. But also, I don't have chest hair so that could be a difference. I can see where electrode gel can matter in that case.

and there are signs that Apple may finally update or discontinue the Link Bracelet introduced alongside the original Apple Watch.

A nice update for the Link Bracelet would be a titanium option for use on the Apple Watch Ultra. I've seen the Ultra with the Link Bracelet and it looks very smart, and would be perfect to wear with a shirt and trousers or with a suit.

It is not just about UI, it is about functionality. Apple Watches have offered Cellular/LTE data since Series 3. This is a huge safety advantage (as one can use it even without having service). My Ultra gives me two days of battery life including doing several miles of workouts every day with a bright always on display. Not as long as a Garmin, but more than sufficient.
LTE in dozen countries... This world is big you know?

Yeah would look better not only in titanium but with a 49mm option. The 45mm bands "work" with the Ultra but are noticeably thin.

Sorry Apple, massive fail this year. Processing speed is not enough to get me to upgrade. Wasn’t before either, even with the always on display.

I hope, at the very least, to see enhancements with the body temperature sensor - extended to measure temperature zones during workout and recovery as Withings have announced.

Otherwise, you might as well just buy Withings for your innovation.

I like my Series 8 (went from a 4, and the always-on display is massive - incredible that it didn't exist before), but it's slow sometimes: try opening Reminders to quickly check something off; even Weather takes a few seconds to populate the display. Hard to believe this is still an issue with native apps after all these years, but a faster processor might fix the problem so it could be a big benefit on the Series 9.

Isn’t there like AW “X” coming next year with first big redesign? What’s the point of getting 9 series this year?

I have to retire my lovely Series 4 anyway. Cant run without battery failing.. Last 10km run, it died after 6.7 km, i started run with 50 % battery :/

So it will either be new updated Ultra, or the exsisting Ultra. Sadly i cant wait longer.

What’s the battery health? You can get the battery replaced if it’s below 80% health, but at this point, may as well just upgrade and put the money towards something better.

I'd be happy if they just made changes to the touchscreen so your sleeve can't press the buttons.

Not sure, but its been pretty good all these years, so i have never complained :) Good point, but feel to threat myself with a new watch now :)

I upgrade every year by selling/trading the previous watch so I plan to maybe get the X also unless I change teams to the Ultra side. If you don't upgrade every year and want the rumored X, makes more sense to wait. Though keep in mind the X rumors are just that, rumors.
