Here are my speeds on both Wifi and h20 edge network. I DO get 3g, but not where I live.

Hey Miss Manson

the 3G issues is an ATT one. The speeds look decent. I spoke to another H20 user and they tell me no need to jailbreak just download the App from the Apple Appstore and you can get the Apn changer so you get the mms and texting working.

Its not an issue with AT&T, I just live in a small town. lol. And yes I have downloaded the app however the H20 app gives me instructions to install a tweak within Cydia - to get Cydia I must jailbreak:(

thats odd the kid on the video i posted said he didn't had to jailbreak it to get the MMS working. Try imitating the steps the guy use if not let me know and i will try to find you another solution.

I'm getting one of these for when I go on holiday to the US? Will I need to change any settings or can I just pop it in? Like APN settings for data?

Also does it display AT&T or H2O in status bar? Most MVNOs display the the network the MVNO runs on in the UK on the iPhone

You should probably go for the factory unlocked. A bit more expensive but worth it IMO. You can get the data settings from H20 which will configure your data settings but you won't have MMS. It will display H20 in the status bar.

Try a free MMS app until a jailbreak is released.

Yep doing that now actually. haha

Factory unlocked phones can use the sim swap method with a non AT&T sim (like tmobile) to enable the carrier settings and allow you to enable MMS for H2O without jail breaking.

Ah you mean by putting in a sim card which allows you to change the apn settings and then putting in the H2O sim?

I can just use the unlockit.nz apn profile for the data though can't I before I go?

That's correct. While the apn screen is still on - enter your info, swap the sim back to h20 and exit - it saves the info.

Anyways the profile would work fine with data - no tricks needed.

Hey guys more bad news for H2O now :(. H2O decided to slashed the 2GB to 1GB. This news made me feel blue but i got a message from youtube that one of the channels i subscribe to had a new video named: "Goodbye H2O hello Straight talk wireless. After seen it i was blown away check it out:
