Over the weekend I posted this, but pulled it because there was some debate about it being true.
Can anyone get Handoff working on a non-Bluetooth 4.0 Mac?
Handoff seems to be working better in Yosemite DP 2.

Here is a screen shot of my system report on a early 2011 MBP
It says Continuity Supported: No
I hope this is not final
interesting. thanks. anyone with a more modern Mac have "Continuity: Yes"?

What computer is this? It's weird that it shows BLE on but the others off. Makes me think/ hope it's a setting?
I'm running Yosemite Beta 2 on my mid 2011 Macbook Air and iOS 8 Beta 2 on my iPhone 5S. I am able to use SMS in the desktop Messages app but still unable to use handoff, answer call on my desktop or airdrop between devices. My system report says I'm good to go on Continuity yet the its will not work. Seems that Continuity coverage is only available for some in the beta as of this afternoon.

he said "17" Late 2011 MBP". That's not supposed to support BT4.0 anyway

I can't see anywhere the mention of a "17 MBP. And why would it say that it supports BTLE in that screen grab but not support continuity or AirDrop? Am I missing something?
Weird, I have a 2011 MacBook Air, but under system report I don't see any of the "Bluetooth LE supported, Continuity, or AirDrop" even listed.
No handoff or continuity working at all with iOS 8 on an iPhone 5S. But - SMS from the Mac is working.
it's in his post title.
not sure why it says it supports BTLE when it's not supposed to
i got the idea that you needed BT:LE my Mac says its supported but no handoff and continuity it says No next to airdrop but i have used airdrop before on 10.9 without issues
