Is anyone else noticing the somewhat long delay and strange artifacting between the first Windows splash screen (the black, ugly, 640 x 480, scrolling bar and Windows logo screen) and the "welcome" screen?
First I get the Windows splash, then my screen goes pitch black, (and by that I mean completely OFF) for about 2 seconds, flashes a garbled display (imagine your screen picture going through a shredder and reassembled by a 3 year old)... then it displays the blue "welcome" screen like nothing happened.
Once Windows loads completely, everything's fine. But it just doesn't look healthy, and I think it might be related to the black screen problems mentioned in this thread. Anyone else have this problem?
Also, OOC, why and when do you need to zap the PRAM?
