Ok, genuinely interested, which of the apps you listed won’t work on an iPad Air? Or the $329 base line iPad?

Just wondering as the last I heard every iPad app in the App Store will work across all iPad devices… unless something has changed recently?
it’s not about the app itself its what you do with it jeeezz. ….. how can you not know this baffels me man !

3d software runs on 20 years old equipement. try running a high poly count model on in thou…
what do you do in life and how old are you? I am geniunley surprised you dont know this about computers…. it matters - what your document is, not the app itself. it matters how many layers can you have, how many poligons, how big of a file and so on. have you never used advanced demanding apps or programs in your life? on a PC I mean. On any computer…. I’m baffeled how can anyone not know this…

Interesting that there are enough people that use so low Android versions. I am honestly surprised. I thought that with Android devices being less supported than new ones, people upgrade more often and thus use newer versions.

I thoought its your job description to know theese sort of things… offcourse android is harder to support than iOS.. i thought everyone knows this. First world bias I guess :)

I can see how it frustrates you but I can also understand how product team do not want to take the plunge. Maybe you guys need to provide them data on how much efforts (capacity) you spend on making it work for Android 5.5. You have to wonder if it is worth it if you spend a lot of time on maintenance and support around those older versions.

All boils down to money. Not everyone can afford to buy the latest tech or to upgrade frequently. Sometimes, even getting enough food to eat is an issue.

True. I was mostly surprised that devices with Android 5.5 can function as this seems to be at least 6-7 years device (Android 5.5 was released 2014).

Wow you seriously need to tone down your passion for the iPad, it’s quite embarrassing.

At the end of the day the iPad software is simply years behind the hardware simple fact!

If its good for your workflow that is completely fine, but just because it suits your workflow that doesn’t mean that nothing needs to be done to make the iPad far better than it currently is to suit more workflows etc, it is capable of far more than it is currently doing.

For many people that is the reason they choose a Mac over an iPad, and it’s also the reason why it’s Apple lowest revenue maker out of all of their products… and now M1 is in the Mac line up that revenue percentage is only going to drop further, which either means Apple will do more to make the iPad better or they will just continue giving it as minimal effort as possible.

So that is why my buying decisions have changed in regards to the iPad, until Apple really bring something ground breaking I will either be going as cheap as possible on the iPad or not bothering at all.

But that is my choice ? has no bearing on yours and I don’t need to be proved that it is the wrong choice as much as it doesn’t need to be proved to you that the iPad is perfect for your workflow.

Wow projecting much. Showing true colors, look I am not mad at you even thou it does speak about your character, and not in a flattering way.. Whats embarasing about showing how clueless about realworld app usage you are? That you dont even understand that its not about ‘OPENING’ the app, but actually working in it? Nah, its not it. I guess you are feeling embarased and think its best to try turn it around. I think you shouldnt talk about things you dont udnerstand, as if you do understand them… But, tbh theres nothing wrong with not understanding something, and learning along the way. If we all never leadned anything we would still know nothing. Everybodey is clueless at some pont, so, really I dont think you should be ashamed for that :) But maybe, dont try to act as if you understand stuff you dont, since than you wouldnt need to deflect when someone calls you out ! all the best man, keep it safe ;)

Btw, just for the kicks of it - are you a kid that just started learning about how computers work? you come off as one, so I’m just curious if I read thru you :)

Not embarrassed at all mate, asked a simple question on this forum about if the lack of innovation with the iPad software has altered your personal buying decisions of the device going forward.

Yet you seem to have took the question extremely personally, it’s as if you designed the device and its software yourself lmao!

Your obviously one of those Apple can do no wrong types ???

Not true. People do not buy iOS devices every year. The percentage of people that use older iOS devices is higher than the ones having the newest device so Developers do not need to test on more devices than the latest one.
where did you get this information? I actually think that you don’t really know a lot about iOS apps from what you’re stating. I don’t know any one that actually keeps Apple devices after they are not longer supported. it seems that you don’t know but Apple supports devices for a very long time. I use my iPhone for six years. And for six years I had the newest software on it. After six years I thought maybe I should buy a new device. So I’m actually pretty sure you’re completely clueless about iOS development. But you might like it if you take a look. I might be wrong but I see zero reasons why people would not have auto update Turned on at all times. it does it overnight you don’t even know that it’s done it and you always have the newest OS. it’s not at all the same chaos and a horrible feeling like you get an android . At first when you said you manage 50 developers I thought you were very knowledgeable but now I am starting to feel that you’re actually quite clueless about iOS development
