This happens every year. On embargo lift day, all these videos and impressions come out and I start double guessing what I preordered.

I'm currently debating my preorder of the 16 Pro Max given my surprise of the many impressions bringing up the great battery life of the smaller 16 Pro. (I only got the 16 Pro Max given the terrible battery life of the 15 Pro.)

Now I'm pondering if I should exchange my 16 PM for a regular 16 Pro.

Have reviews and impressions changed your mind or confirmed your decision on which phone to get this year?

My 16 pro is probably going straight back and ill keep my 15 pro

ANOTHER Gimmick button, same display, larger screen isn't noticeable at all, photos look the same, 4K 120 is a memory beast and pointless, and desert looks like a white iPhone with a brown used clear case on.

The fact that the on screen camera controls are far quicker and easier to use over this stupid camera button, speaks volumes on the mess of a hardware team Jeff Williams is running.

No regrets in my case. I’m going to a 16 PM from a XS Max. Gimmicks aside, I’m anticipating many improvements. I also prefer the differences in Pro from non. As for size, prior to the Tennis Match (isn’t it pronounced like that 😁), I had a 6S and I much prefer a larger screen.

See this is the right upgrade, anyone with a 13-15 really shouldn't touch the 16 with a barge pole.

X-12 is best suited for this year.

Try out your new PM. If you don’t like it, return it within 14 days.
Yup, that's the plan. Important to remember not to trade in your current iPhone as you're probably going to be waiting a bit for the high demand ones to come back in stock if you decide to exchange it.

Definitely a fair assessment. I have the 15 Pro as well and didn’t even bother with pre-ordering the 16 Pro (even though I’m on IUP). I was tempted by the regular 16, but I’m more likely going to hold on to my 15 Pro for another year and see what the 17 models offer.

Curious. Why did you even pre order?

I'm more and more interested in iPhone photography, I gotta take the Pro, and I want it to fit in my pocket, so no Max for me.

But honestly, the regular 16 model would be good for 60-70% of the people, even though I heard most people grab the Pros now.

Does he even really order it?

Buy the phone you want, use the phone for however long you want, sell it for as much as you can and repeat. 3 years I’ve had my 13Pro. It’s time for me now. No sympathy for anyone complaining it isn’t much of an upgrade from last year.

I knew I wanted the 16 PM and was certain enough of that that I preordered my usual folio case from Nomad several days before I could order the actual phone. Alas, the Apple Store locked me out for about 20 minutes, so my iPhone won't arrive for a couple of weeks.

But the case arrived yesterday and it gave me a chance to get a sense of the size of the PM. Yes, it's a hair larger but not significantly enough to make a difference. Despite having tiny hands (no Trump jokes please!), I've always preferred the Max size and I'm quite certain that I will like this size again.

So, no, the reviews have had no impact on my decision. I eagerly await seeing my 16 PM go to PTS status and which point the ANTICIPATION (like the ketchup commercial of yore) will be palpable. If it's too large, I'll send it back and order the 16 Pro. But the chances of that happening are minuscule.

I was at the beach last week and just had my 15 Pro Max. pics came out great, with the better settings activated. Someone I know is getting married, and saw my beach photos, he has an older iPhone and I told him to buy a new phone, since plans on taking most of his honeymoon photos with the phone. He had been thinking about it but after seeing my photos, he is going to buy either a 15 or 16 pro model.

Love the embargo lifted videos yesterday reviewing the 16 lineup in more detail.

Coming from 14+, learning a lot from the videos - especially the camera and video stuff that I never used.

Looking forward to my 16 Pro arriving tomorrow.

No, I still don’t plan to get one because my 15 Pro Max is doing well, and I haven’t fully paid it off. Next time I upgrade I’ll probably do the smaller pro model.

I know exactly what you mean.

I use Apple Card's 24 month 0% financing so every other year I upgrade.

This is the year I upgrade from my 14+ to 16 Pro.

If Apple Card did 12 months, I'd upgrade every year...🤣
