my mum just got the iphone x and even though my monthly bill is £87.99 a month mine is annual upgrade with unlimited everything with 100GB of data with the 256GB model.

her iphone x on vodafone is £75 a month with unlimited mins/texts but only 16GB of data and it's only 64GB.

so really surprised it wasn't abit cheaper but there was no upfront cost.

Was there no option to pay upfront to get that monthly cost down or was the price firmly fixed? Even on U Switch a £59 p/m contract has a significant upfront cost.

this was the cheapest. It was only this price and no upfront cost as this was done on my dads's business account where it's suppose to be cheaper due to how long he has had an account with them. Talking over 15-20 years. So if it wasn't for that I bet the upfront cost for that would be very high.

Wow, and even that is £5 more than mine and my wife’s contract combined. I don’t usually mind paying up to £200 upfront for an iPhone but the X is more like £550 on my contract. Not in the least bit competitive.

I knew my contract was very expensive at 87 a month but given the GB size and 100GB of data when you compare it to the vodafone one it's better value. It's still massive price don't get me wrong but value for money the vodafone deal is very expensive for the plan that comes with it. I use alot of data as i don't use work wifi so if it's quiet and i watch a football match on my phone or basketball on nights it can use my data as will youtube when in the gym so 16GB of data isn't enough for me for certain months. I've used 6GB so far this month and my allowance re-starts in 9 days so chances are i could use a rather 4GB more after that.

I don’t like using a case. But w/o it is too slippery to be used too. And yes can slip a case on/off.
Ended up with $400 Essential and the X stays home. I always like having Android and an iPhone.
With ATT trading in old phone every year and end up with $85/mo. Rarely use 1/4 mobile data. Usually rare times my ISP had an issue and share it with Nac and iPad.

Next phone? Essential 2

Okay, so since the launch of the X I’ve been to multiple cities in North America and Europe as well as in Beijing and saw literally tons of Xs almost everywhere (maybe apart from cities located in less rich countries like Athens, Warsaw or Budapest, but they were still there - just less). Obviously it has to do with the fact that places I visited were rather important hubs, but quite honestly I would say that the X clearly outnumbers the 8 and is maybe even nearing the 7. I was particularly surprised at how popular the X was in Beijing, but then, allegedly, it was the most popular smartphone in China over the last quarter.
