The first two are from Rome and the third is from Norway. Click the photos and they'll open in flickr. Link to my flickr photostream is in my signature.

Do you live in Vegas? I dont know that many tourists that would visit the South Pointe.

I believe you are referring to the 'Noise" not gamma. You "get rid of it" by using a lower ISO when you shoot. Night shots are best with a tripod, that way you can get all the way down to ISO100 and there wont be any motion blur, or softness from camera shake.

Let me know what you think!

That looks nice, it's not overdone like many HDR images are.
Also, I don't think I've ever seen someone put an HDR and non-HDR next to each other like to show the differences. Great job and brilliant idea.

A minimum of three images are required (Over exposed, under exposed and proper exposure).

As for the exposure compensation settings I always put mine on -2, 0, +2 but it depends on the scene. Ideally you would set the maximum (+EV) so the darkest part of the scene is exposed properly and the minimum (-EV) so the lightest part of the scene is exposed properly and then one in the middle. And then you can always have more exposures in between.

Cool!
Well iv just started doing some HDR stuff.
at first I used just -2,0 and +2.
Today I tried out AEB +1,0,-1 then setting the AEB to +2,0,-2 and then not using the second mid expo.
the results turned out much better! and thats how I got my test Photo in my living room looking the way it is.
Thanks!

Very nice!

I tend to do a +2, 0, -2 during the day and a +3, 0, -3 at night!

*Technically not a true HDR, but merged using 3 versions of the one exposure: -2, 0, +2

Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai) on Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok, Thailand. Part of a series from the elevated railway stations in Bangkok, electric wires an intentional part of this series, without them it would not be Sukhumvit Road or Bangkok.

Seven exposures, hand held, late afternoon, Nikon D300, 12-24mm Nikkor DX, Adobe Lightroom and Photomatix Pro.
