Buy a pair of Bose QC35's. You'll forget all about the silly wired headphones you used to use in the dark ages.
Put them in a drawer with your floppy discs, tapes and camera film.
Hmmm apart from the fact wired headphones and 35mm film unlike the others on your list are far from redundant technology at this point in time. The others I would agree with i.e floppy disks and tapes.

My advice would be to use the crappy adapter Apple supply. That’s what i’ll do when I own an iPhone without the jack. The iPhone is very much a product about compromise in recent years and we’ve just got to accept that if we want iOS on a mobile device. It’s a shame but there’s bigger things to worry about.

Film is pretty redundant apart from a few hipsters and diehards.

It’s still used by certain photography agencies and is becoming extremely popular again. Digital has never reached the quality obtained by film despite being mainstream for the past 17 years. It’s less redundant now than it was 5 years ago.
I think its still a pretty niche product. We couldn't sell film at work a few years ago so trashed it all.

And yes I realise this graph isn't up to date, but I think it tells the story.

I have had a 7,7 plus,8, 8 plus and now a X and have never used the adapter once, wired headphones are for kids/teenagers.

As a Bluetooth user myself, I would use caution with that statement. It doesn’t seem very logical, being there lots of true audiophiles who have an appreciation for wired headphones, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I wouldn’t class myself as an audiophile but I am in my mid 30’s and use wired headphones lol. Just based on observation and experience I knew as soon as I read that comment we’ve responded to was rather stupid.
