when i plug it in, it gives me the itunes logo on the iphone, and it brings up itunes and says i need to restore, its in recovery mode, blah blah blah, but it seems every time i try to restore, i get a different error.
ok did you do the method i told you to do but while your phone is plugged in?

alright im probably doing something wrong...

a video of what i did is in the process of being uploaded.

Two questions

What neathod did you use to jailbreak

And does the iPhone function at all

i think i bricked it.

i tried fixing it using ibrikr.

what happened is..

i jailbreaked my iphone, and then decided i needed more music on it then there was. it was synced with a friends library, so i wanted to wipe it and sync it with my own. i tried to sync and got the errror "the disk could not be read from or written to" so i decided to restore factory settings. i got an error, and the iphone went into recovery mode. i tried restoring firmware 1.1.1 (what it was before all this happened), i tried to "restore and update" and i tried restoring to 1.0.2 as most tutorials recommend. nothing ever works, i always get an error and the iphone stays in recovery mode

PLEASE HELP!

what? i dont understand what youre saying

and i used the jailbreakme.com method.

well dont use the dock connector just use the cable hold it with two hands do that method and look closely at the screen if it looks like the blackness is fading then let go of the sleep/wake button and hold the home button to me it seemed to fast for me

seriously i really dont know did you unlock it maybe.

all i did is jailbreak and i refuse to give up hope and you seem to be the only one who can give me a chance of having it functioning by tonight. what were you saying about turning it off?

i think that 1.1.1 isn't compatible with itunes 7.5, i tried downgrading to 1.1.1 and got an error message too, with my macbook and i got that same recovery screen, then i restored to 1.1.2 with itunes 7.5, it works now (you just jailbroke it right, not unlock?)

well, im not super experienced, its just that i was trying to jailbreak my phone yesterday, and i realized that a big problem is 7.5; if you're trying to restore to 1.1.1, then yes, downgrade to 7.4.2
