like what?

I don't even have the option for MMS (I know I know it's not enabled through AT&T yet) and now option for turning tether on (even though it's not enabled as well). Also I read that you could have to option to add pictures to email throught the mail app. No dice for me. Any suggestions?
I upgraded from the seed 3.0GM I previously had to the new 3.0 (same version) from iTunes. Any help would be appreciated.

***EDIT*** I previously had the 3.0 GM seed that gave me the options to turn both tethering and MMS on however they didn't work or show camera icons in messaging. So are these files truly the same?

dammit i had the same question as most of you guys who have the GM..i was hoping to update..but its the same thing..there goes all the fun and excitement

Really?

You get the same version that everyone else JUST now got a week in advance, and you don't even have to wait for the silly activation server issues. Didn't you realize the GM version was a) the release version and b) had all the features of 3.0 they've been discussing?

If what Apple released last Monday was not the final release, they would have called it either beta 6 or release candidate. If you are any sort of developer or software tester, you know that the term Gold Master means it's the final version. Matching build numbers and bit-by-bit identical files also makes this all so easy to understand.

Here is what I gathered from a site:

here are the CheckSUM MD5:
812DA3DA0BA98A7991FF6F09FD6B8002 *iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw from Apple TODAY
&
75427718093CE59F00DBBFF359BAC4AE *iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw from APPLE GM on June 9th.

Can someone check and confirm?

Both files checksums are the same:

MD5(iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw)=812da3da0ba98a7991ff6f09fd6b8002

Because both files are the same.

It makes you wonder why people cannot get this concept. They have such a high tech phone and cannot grasp that the GM build and the one release now are one and the same.

Is anyone having issues with Visual Voicemail. Mine says "Cannot Connect to Voicemail" and gives me the option to call AT&T.

not true I've had the final iTunes since it came out and recently patched gm version just fine. Once I update to the 3.0 just released the patch won't work

If you patched the GM then patched the release from today. Having said that - you either patched with a version that not a final itunes or you had the patch in from prior and it brought it back when you restored - very well documented that itunes 8.2 final took the ability away to patch an IPPC without using the terminal command I stated earlier. Either way I dont care and am not going to argue with you about.

Just for clarity, the IPCC file is not patching anything, it is configuring settings.

Clicked restore and iTunes downloaded latest firmware and my GM was removed. Latest version file size was smalled by about 150-200 kb, and after GM the regional format for my phone numbers has changed. The current firmware release hasnt fixed it either.

In India with AirTel and MMS is not enabled yet, i guess. So business cards also cannot be sent

right, I was using the verbiage that op used - and since they were talking about tethering I assumed it was the IPCC file they were calling the patch - I might be wrong on that though.
