Seems like an unusual thing for Apple to do to ditch a new and well received iPhone design after only one generation! People were happy it got a bit smaller and a bit lighter, even if it wasn't a big difference.

Unacceptable the Max is getting even bigger.

Err, the clue is in the name? Actually I was quite surprised that the 15 pro max wasn’t all that huge when my brother got one recently. I’d always assumed the max models were quite a bit bigger!

It looks so much like the previous 4 versions they have to move the cameras so people know which iphone you have and don't get confused.

I’ve been an iPhone buyer every year since the 3g. This year is the first year I’ve actually seriously considered moving away from Apple. The micro iterations and mostly unchanged UI and body design are now just fatiguing and unexciting.
Just personal thoughts. Would be interested in what other long-time iPhone users are thinking.
Spend your time and money elsewhere, upgrading a mature product yearly is irrelevant.

The smartphone market is pretty mature and we're seeing small iterations across many brands each year. I personally don't wish for a folding display phone but that's the only thing that would appear to be a significant change from the current design that is possible in the near future. I've no issue with the design at the moment, as it sits in a case for 99.9% of the time, for me

I bought the very first iPhone, I'll be upgrading my XR to either the 15 Pro or 16 Pro. Phones have been powerful enough for a while that there is no reason to upgrade every year, and if you upgrade every couple of years the changes are noticeable (including the change to your back balance).

A flush button for a camera. Good luck with cases.
This. And also why all of sudden we need another shutter button? isn't there already volume button for it? Also you can trigger camera from lockscreen and by a swipe also in there.... so now even with action button and they add another button just for it? my honest question is WHY?!

Why not add something like a screen on the back so content creators can use the high quality back camera for filming themselves? The front camera will always be inferior because of the size constraints.

"Capture" button. Since when adding useless button became innovation? Why can't they figure that out with the current useless action button.

Interesting, the Xbox controller added a capture button for the Series X, and it is the most useless thing that people complain pressing by mistake all the time. Do we really need that in an iPhone?

We already have the camera button in the lock screen and can set the action button to open the camera....What good would another button do?

As someone who actually used it on Lumias and Xperias I actually really miss a camera button
'course, whether I'd appreciate it on an iPhone is conditional to where it actually is

Hallo.
Thank you for taking the time.

Please read my post again. Nothing to do with rumours.
Purely pointing out that the word they chose was incorrect.
Familiarise yourself with grammar and then get back to me.
Thanks!
Really now. Familiarise yourself with "context". Rumour sites are not the appropriate source for certainty of any statement, much less the comments that follow it.

However, I look forward to your continuing watchfulness for the misapplication of commas and apostrophes.

….and still the apps settle to the top of the display as far away from the human stylus as possible.

Can't help but think back to the iPhone launch and Steve making fun of physical buttons and here we are, in 2024, and the innovation is a new physical button.

There are only so many shapes a phone can be in. Foldables may not be the last great frontier. Apple and other manufacturers of consumer devices have to innovate outside of the phone.
Exactly this.

I am still very happy with my 14 pro max. At this point I think I’ll wait until the regular iPhone gets 120 ha or at least 90 and then upgrade to a regular model. (So 17 at the earliest?) I couldn’t defend spending that much money on another pro model in the midst of the cost of living crisis..

MacRumors posts tons of factual articles. It’s poor writing to use the language they have been.

The micro iterations don’t bother me. We are ensconced within the ecosystem. Someone in the family gets a new phone every year but not everybody gets a new phone every year automatically.

If I had the 14pm I wouldn’t have necessarily bought a 15pm, but having both in the family the 15pm is more than a micro iteration. The small adjustments in dimensions and balancing and titanium make the world of difference in the hand.

You'd feel that 'world of difference' if you hold a regular Pro phone from a few years ago before they became >200g behemoths. There's buy-in, and there's Stockholm Syndrome.

I've no plans for the 15 Pro, but I really hope the weight doesn't change for the 16 Pro.

If the rumors are true this is going to be a pretty good pro max for my yearly upgrade 👍
