That looks just gorgeous. Love this purple. I’ve been reading the thread and I have a question - I’ve seen people saying that the bands are very fragile and will wear through quickly unless a deployment buckle is used. Would you say this is accurate? I don’t own any Hermes bands but am quite tempted.

No that’s a mischaracterization, I would say. The loose idea of the deployment is to make it easier to take on and off and a minor benefit of that is less wear on the hole. If you protect it from sweat and similar irritants and moisture, a regular single tour will be very durable.

Thank you, looks great! I don't know what to do lol. They keep going out of stock here in Australia, currently back in stock so I have placed an order. Have a few weeks until it ships so have a bit of time to decide. Is the extra cost over the standard SS worth it??? It is nearly an extra $1000 here in Aus over the SS models.

The cost and if it is worth it for you is something only you can decide.

My first Hermès was the Noir (44mm) which I got in December 2019. I now prefer the Hermès models and am not sure if I will go back to the SS standard model. I also only use the Hermès watch faces so that helps me justify it even if only a little bit.

Had I got the 40mm Noir last year I may not have upgraded this year but not being able to get 44mm bands for my small wrist was another reason why I got the 40mm Anémone. Purple is my favorite color and this band only came in 40mm and I didn’t want mismatched lugs with my Noir. Another justification. I have no regrets.

I have the Ebene Deployant Clasp band. I'm VERY happy with it. There seems to be less stress on the leather of the band, and I don't have to bend it to get it into the fixers while I'm putting on the watch. I have the Noir Deployant on order and should arrive tomorrow.

It's a very comfortable clasp with the curve pretty well matching my wrist. I don't feel the difference between this and a standard Hermes band.

I have both deployment clasps and I love them both. I really prefer the deployment over the regular Hermès bands!!

Fauve barenia is like a black sport band, just wait and you can find it cheap. I got fauve 38mm new with anemone for 425 in a bundle. Deployment for 325 new. My mom’s double tour was 200 new. Def don’t pay full price for fauve unless you really fancy the new Attelage.

This one does patina up but because it’s the actual horse saddle material it is technically waterproof, or so the purse blogs say. I think generally expect a “horse sports” durability from these. They’re not just pretty couture, they’re rugged...

Agreed. I tend to rotate bands also, figuring that giving the band a rest for a few days after wearing it all day can help. Quite possibly I'm overthinking it....

The Bandmeister here is wise. Take care of the band and it will last forever.

No it’s pretty random. Hermes eBay listings are a quaint mix of used iDevice wholesalers, hypebeasts dumping gently used colors to get new ones (used fauve is a bag of hurt though), and then fashion sellers who have nothing to do with tech or Apple...they have the best prices because it’s just another piece to them.

Mercari has some good deals, as does Poshmark. Neither of which you can access. I’ll post some Hermes in the discounts thread for you if they pop up...

The one steady seller is Pete, he’s amazing. But his prices aren’t competitive so after shipping and customs it would probably not be worthwhile for you, but his store is a great browse, I will warn you he’s scalping the new new at the moment lol:

Just picked up my Hermes Watch with Noir single Tour Deployment. Absolutely loving it!
Returned the graphite SS - which I thought was beautiful - because I didn't like how the metals didn't match.

Wish the SS Hermes came with the black Hermes sport band, anyone bought the Noir watch and wished they got the orange sport band? We could swap

I just noticed that I don't have the "bi color" (I'm sure someone in this group can tell me the real name!) as choices in my face gallery (example image attached). Are these available only if you bought the watches with the bi-color bands?

You’re probably just looking at the new Circulaire face. You need to add the regular Hermes face that doesn’t do complications.

My wife got the new scarlet modern buckle and it's like Red Cross red. If the Hermes is similar, I might have to pick it up as I keep eyeing my wife's.

No but it definitely scratches the same itch.

Ruby red! Scarlet and Pink Citrus seem so close to old colors, they scream “last gasp” for the modern buckle line. Can’t wait to get my 40mm Leather Link hands-on.

I got my deployment noir yesterday and absolutely love it. You can hardly tell the clasp is in there and it's just so comfy

I couldn't order the deployment online (it was out of stock at the time) so I ordered the single tour fauve as it was the quickest Hermes I could get in my hands. I am at a crossroads between the deployment and the single. If I go deployment, I would just sell the single tour new.

I really want the Orange Swift strap but Apple doesn't have it available on their site. I saw it was available on Hermes' site so I placed the order a few minutes ago (along with a Fauve Attelage).

What is Hermes' shipping update steps? Mine currently says "In Preparation". Is the next step "Shipped"? Anyone order from Hermes directly recently that could give me their order to delivery timeframe? I'm in the US if that's relevant.
