Not a single person in my life who will care about this as much as y’all.

Seems to share the same stitching with the bands and their other leather goods. Finish is fantastic. It’s 80% nylon and 20% polyester, so it should hold up well. It has the most comfortable bill I’ve ever felt in a hat.

And it’s reversible!

I’ve taken a photo next to my lululemon hat because I think the difference in stitching is pretty obvious.

Been wearing this for several days now. I love the orange and marine/navy color combo ever since the clown strap from the series 4. It's much brighter in person. The material feels soft but is still very stiff, and it's noticeable when you have to bend the strap to feed the end into or remove it from the loops. Maybe it'll become more pliable over time. Overall I'm happy with it.

As much as the stiffness makes it a weird one to put on, I actually love it because it creates a little triangular air gap under the wrist and really breathes.

Do you find the inside of the strap where it folds over is a little sharp and annoying on your wrist? The one I had drove me nuts.

Not at all, the entire surface, both inside and out, feels very smooth and polished with no rough patches or snags in the material. It's very nice quality. Not sure if I'd say it's 300 bucks worth of nice but it's very well made nonetheless.

Interesting, maybe the one I bought with the watch was just bad. Where it was folded over near the buckle, the corners were so sharp :( Had to take the watch back anyway due to a fault and was going to pick up the strap separately and then buy the new s7 hermes this year. Not sure what I should do......

Do you have any other Hermès bands?

if not, go pick up a leather one.

I really would only advise people with a collection of leather bands to consider the nylon band.

Nope, no others. I really like the Orange/Rose Mexico. The current leather bands honestly don't really do much for me. There have been ones in the past that I have liked and do regret not buying them at the time.

Any tip on where to find the Anémone 2nd generation Swift Single Tour Band? eBay so far is a bust and it has been discontinued with Apple, apparently. Recently scored Jaune Ambre, which was great.

Hermès still has the fall colors still in stock if that is of any interest.

Hi

I am thinking of Hermès for a new fall watch. I like the faces, but have skin issues with leather bands. Is it still worth getting Hermès, if I don’t do a leather band? Any metal bands that work well?

Is it worth getting the Hermès and not use their bands. I like the faces, but may not be able to wear the leather bands.

How do you guys match up the more exotic colours with your outfits? I really love the bambou and Swift Orange colours, but can't think of how that would look good other than on a mostly black, white or grey outfit. I feel like to work, it would need to be the only pop of colour.

That’s exactly what I do. The power accent.

I got mine a few weeks ago from the Hermes boutique so might be worth ringing and checking
So you called them and they still had it in stock, or you found it at a store? The Hermès store near me has been “temporarily closed” for some time…perhaps that will work in my favor….

Only you can really decide if it’s “worth it” since it is your money. You do have a couple of options though:
  1. Buy a Hermès watch with one of the new Jumping Single Tour bands instead of a leather band. Since the Jumping bands are made of nylon, they might help with your skin allergy.
  2. Buy a Hermès with a leather band and then resell the leather band on a site like eBay. You should be able to recover 80-90% of the stand alone price of the band as listed on Apple’s site if you are patient. If you go this route, you will have paid a $200-$300 premium (compared to the price of the regular SS watch) for the two Hermès faces, the Hermès sport band, and an extra year of warranty. Is that worth it? Only you can say!

I actually agree with @Alicia1. The corners of the buckle - the inside end which rests against your wrist - are...well, not quite "sharp" but definitely dig in. What I've done is to wear it one size larger than I usually would.

If you’re not going to wear the leather bands, I’d say don’t buy.

it’s a lot of money, mainly for the bands.

Apple has really stepped up their game with a lot of neat watch faces.

I’d just get a stainless steel with link bracelet and save half the money.

Great summary; thanks!

Hermes does give you a sport band as well as the leather band when you buy the watch. The leather is super soft, literally like butter. So maybe you will be able to wear the leather band. I only use my leather bands (have 6 of them) when I go out. Most of the time I have the Hermes black or orange sports band on.
