thats my favorite band!
I have the single tour version but finally gonna give my mom the double now that her birthday has come and I’m supremely jealous that she gets so much rose extreme!

Also the blanc allover (double tour exclusive entirely) and a nice etain double for quieter fits. I’m pretty sure she’s never worn any of her Hermes, she really really loves her Cosmos buckle (and her s1 RGA!), but also there haven’t been social events.

Pretty great Eperon deal $309 obo

in conclusion. is it worth it?

better no?

Worth it! The minimal amount of distressing/distortion on the printed pattern tells me it’s barely been worn, or at least worn gently. That discoloration is not ideal on the underside but this is a band that didn’t sell a la carte so less likely to find new, and if it is new it’s double this price. Of course, if the Eperon D’or pattern doesn’t call to you (it is rather like a paisley country music bandana), perhaps not worth it.

As for the one you posted it’s an extra $264USD, which I’d rather spend on an entire Hermes band or five Chinese bands haha.

Ordered this for a friend…crazy how purple the Saphir is compared to the hero shot. As a Saphir epsom owner I guess I should have realized. But even in the store it wasn’t this incredible.

Hello all, I am new to the group and going to be making my first Apple Watch Hermès purchase. I’m upgrading from an S4 Space Grey Nike Edition to the Silver Stainless Steel both are 44mm. I think I’ve landed on the
Fauve Barénia Leather Attelage Single
Tour Band, but was also thinking about the Deployment Band option as well. If anyone has these, any advise or feedback was be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

To my eyes I don’t get the Attelage style for 44mm, now that I’ve seen it in person at the store. The geometry and footprint seems too big off the wrist for me.

But as a style it will probably go away in the fall or the following fall while the deployment will stick around in some color. So the Attelage is more “special” in a sense.

Maybe Attelage will follow the lifespan of the Rallye, which ran from from Fall 2017 to Fall 2018, with a minor reboot for Noir in Spring 2020.

That said everyone here loves the Deployment/Deployant because it’s set and forget. You strap it on in your size once and then you never have to re-buckle it, which is kinder to the leather.

The deployment buckle, a design somewhat akin to Apple’s link bracelet, is awesome, but I’m not sure the part feels like $200 extra. It is very comfortable, I love the feeling of the steel against my wrist, as much as it makes contact. To my wrist, it follows a nice curve.

To give a counterpoint, to me the Deployment buckle is not quite as comfortable as the „regular“ Hermès buckle. I would only get the Deployment if you plan to wear the leather band all the time because then this buckle really does make the strap more durable. Attelage just looks weird to me.

Is it absurd to think the 44mm Attelage would just clank on stuff all the time and be a snag magnet? It seems like a big ol’ hook.

Exactly this. A little asymmetry can be funky, but I feel Hermès just went too far with the Attelage.

Then again, maybe I‘m just not fashionable enough for this kind of stuff. I never understood the „pyramid-shaped studs“ of the Médor straps, either.

I have this band and on my screen at least your photo is not at all a good representation of what this band looks like. The lighter blue isn't nearly that light blue. In fact in person it's much closer to the darker blue in your photo. And what is the darker blue in your photo is actually nearly black in person. I love the band, don't get me wrong. But anyone who buys based on your photo will be disappointed.

Which band are you referring to? This is the black and sapphire nylon. As of yet there’s no light blue Hermes Jumping. And it came pretty late in the day, it’s a golden hour shot, though accurate. I’ll post again today if you want. I have a neutral overcast sky, for now.

If you had to choose between these three band options for your first Hermès Apple Watch, which one would you pick and why? I’m trying to make a decision and need some help from the professionals in this forum. Thanks in advance.

3, 2, 1, or perhaps 2, 3, 1.

All three are beautiful though. 1 is too casual for those dollars (IMO). 2 and 3 are pure class. I'd consider my typical wardrobe before deciding. My feeling is that 3 is the most flexible.

I would go 2,3,1. IMO, if you’re going to spend money on Hemes, you might as well go with the leather options first. Options 2 and 3 will work much better in a professional setting. Option 1 would be great for the weekends, or casual occasions.

Before even choosing, we must remember that leather is a living material, it has its beginning and its end, treat it well, if you don't use it, put it in its dustproof case. Thank you.

I love the Swift leather and the Déployante and I can only choose Noir Déployante.

Noir Déployante not only for the color, a timeless, but also and above all for the Swift leather. The closure is a plus.
Swift, the skin is semi-smooth, soft and semi-matte. Swift is a soft leather with a fine grain. One of its qualities is to absorb the brighter colors well which then emphasize the life of the skin. The fine grain appears to reflect light in such a way that the colors are almost iridescent.

Fauve it is a classic strap, beautiful, but the Barénia leather is delicate.
Barenia is a smooth leather with a matte finish.
Barenia is commonly used in saddles, small leather items and sometimes bags. Barenia is very delicate and prone to scratches. Barenia is also softer leather and after a while it loses its shape. The leather is paired with a double dye in chromium and vegetable and then soaked in a blend of nine different oils that lasts a 5-6 week process. Barenia will develop a patina over time because it has no aniline finish and can absorb oil. Barenia can be present in colors other than Natural (also called Fauve).

Forget the nylon strap is for strong stomachs in all senses: quality and price

#2, without a single doubt! The black is timeless, the leather is luxurious, and the deployment buckle is a life- and leather-saver :). I opted against #3 because I realized I don't like the patina on the fauve, it looks smudgy/dirty IMO, and #1 is just not for me and doesn't feel like "Hermès". If you are thinking of buying it from Hermes.com, they have more options. I can recommend Etoupe which is another timeless/classic Hermès color, and the strap I chose for my first one.

Yes that's the one I'm talking about - the black and sapphire. I used the term "light blue" with a lower case 'l' intentionally to describe what I see in your photo: a light(er) blue, and a darker blue. It looks nothing like that in person. One of our monitors is way out of calibration if what you see on your screen is black and sapphire.

Post a pic of yours and we will compare!
