Ordered a S7 Hermes SS with Ebene Barenia Deployment strap. Very excited, upgrading from S5 Edition, this will be my fourth Apple Watch over the years.

The question is what does one do to upgrade in future? The Hermes straps are designed to last, and even improve with age. Therefore, it seems like such a waste if upgrading from an older Hermes series to the latest if you're forced into buying a new Hermes strap every time. I know, they've got you and people will pay, but it's still a waste of beautiful leather.

As this S7 will be my first Hermes, it's not an issue this time, but it will be in a couple of years I expect!

Order's due to be delivered to me here in UK from Oct 19 :)

Hi, in the future you just keep buying the newest edition of the Hermes Apple Watch, hold onto your bands, buy a few more to change it up, and just enjoy them. They truly are the best band that you could possibly wear on your wrist for an Apple Watch.

When I started buying the Hermes model, it was because I said to myself that if I’m gonna wear an Apple Watch on a daily basis then it had to be the most luxurious one. i have worn and collected Rolex watches for over 20 years when i advanced within my career to be able to afford them and just switch them out when i got bored. I’m not a fan of rings, bracelets, or necklaces. But I am a huge fan of luxury watches. I became a Hermes Apple Watch wearer ever since the Series 3, and i have bought and sold my Hermes Series 3, 4, 5, and now Series 6, as I wait for the delivery of my Hermes Series 7. It’s all i wear daily and when I get bored I just switch the Hermes bands from one to the other and it’s like wearing a different watch. The leather is so soft and supple that once you wear it you’re not gonna want to wear anything else. My Mom always taught me that if you want something to last then buy something of quality, because it’s not about the quantity of what you have, it’s about the quality of what you have.

The bands to me are truly just the most comfortable ones I can wear. Their designs are works of art and are unlike any other Apple Watch band out there. So welcome to the club, you will be hooked, and just resign yourself that you’ll never go back to anything less. LOL!!! But most importantly just enjoy your new Hermes Apple Watch.

After 3 very happy years with my Hermès Series 4 (40mm) with a double tour strap in Fauve Barenia, I think I may be ready for an upgrade to the Series 7. I love the look of the Bleu Lin double tour, but am not sure about the attelage strap. I have small wrists and hands (comparable to a 6yo or 7yo kid), and I’m afraid that the watch will move around a lot. And it just seems a bit thinner than my current double tour. I know I can get the Bleu Lin in the single tour, but I do love those double tour bands. For people who have had double tour attelage straps, have you been happy with them? Thanks in advance!

The straps are thinner, but that is what I like about the Attelage straps. I also have small wrists and hands and have had no issues with them; stays put like any other watch band. I am very happy with mine. I own three (Rose Mexico, Orange and Fauve Barénia). You can always try one and if you don’t like it return it. At least then you’ll know how you really feel about them.

I have had Hermes leather bracelets for awhile now… the oldest almost a decade… and I love how well it’s last despite my carelessness with my stuff (I too am a sweatpants on days off type of person but still will rock the wearables).

personally it’s just the hardware of the watch that bugs me but I got a stainless steel in regular and have had it a few years, if I have the Hermes for a few years minimum plus the bracelet, even if I can’t wear the leather without the watch, it’s worth it to me already.

Me too. With covid i work at home part time (am semi-retired) an don’t go out as much as i did but I still wear my Hermes bands for my enjoyment And whenever i go out. Its just fun to switch them up.

Just placed my order for 45mm Bisquit. Next is Bleu Noir. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣. I’m really all in on the new bands!!
I couldn’t decide between thumbs up or the laugh so I chose in between.

I am not semi retired but definitely taking work life balance more serious so it’s more like work life social. Hermes leather (and the colors!!) are definitely a dangerous (but fun) habit.

I just checked my order on the Hermès website it says "in preparation" does that mean it's getting ready to ship? My first time ordering directly from Hermès. I got to frustrated with the Apple Website trying to place an order. The Hermès
website was a breeze.

If you are having it delivered to an address, the order will say In Preparation while it is prepared at the New Jersey warehouse and then the status will update to say shipped when it actually has, as well as provide you with a tracking number.

If you ordered it for collection at one of their boutiques, for me it has always said In Preparation until the day it arrives at the store and the receiving person updates their system which will then show on your order status that it's ready for pickup.

Thank you! that was very helpful. :)

LOL. I am laughing at myself. Ugh, because i never expected to be all in on these new colors and prints. I figure they wont be around for too long, and I do really like the Biscuit color as well as the Rouge i ordered by SBSS with. And the Bleu/Black is growing on me more and more. YOLO, right!!!????

Since I retired I am definitely taking the work life/balance way more seriously. Worked at a high stress/demand job for a long time, but wanted to do something in the field I was in on part time basis to keep my mind active as I am still young to be retired, LOL!! Luckily I had an opportunity to do that!!!!

Biscuit still be here Friday too!!! If not before!!!

I ordered Hermes 45mm SBSS with Noir/Bleu Circuit on the Apple app right when the store came up at 5:04am, and got a date of Nov 16-23. Later this morning, I ordered the same configuration on Hermes.com. They are vague, saying orders "will begin shipping Oct 15th". We shall see which order arrives first and which gets cancelled/returned. Let the race begin!

I was looking to do the same & see what’s delivered first, but Hermes.com doesn’t have the Noir Swift Attelage Single Tour

True but Apple also sells a similar color sport band with the regular watch.

I work from home full time and debated getting the Hermes because of it; but I still enjoy nice things even in sweatpants.

I change bands daily - nothing is wasted. All of my bands will be used and loved.

Same here, 100%.
I only work part time by choice, hence the semi-retired. But yes for that part time job, I do work at home. It was a condition of me joining this law firm, that I would never ever ever have to commute to their office. I drove to downtown LA for my prior job and when I retired and this partner from the law firm literally chased me for 10 years to work for them when I retired, I told him no more commuting!! So I am a remote employee!! Lol. I am very fortunate!!

I’m seriously debating getting the rouge H as a separate strap. If I don’t see any other bracelets from Hermes I like, I might.

it’s huge for me considering I haven’t brought a bracelet once for my ss watch the past three years and stuck with the original white that came with it.

That's awesome, sounds like it all worked out well for you! I manage a department of about 50 people, and we had a remote work option pre-pandemic that some people took advantage of, but after they closed our office when the pandemic hit, and all of us worked from home successfully for those 15 months or so, the company agreed that me and my whole department could be remote permanently, which is amazing. I really enjoy working from home, and my whole team does as well.

Yes, working from home is the best!!! Love it!!! Would never ever want to work in an office again!!! Lol. The law firm I work for has 6 offices around the country and all of us are still working remotely (though I am not sure is the one in London is) and we have been busier than ever.
