Does anyone have a S7 Hermès and an older S4-S6 Hermes?

Keen to see side by side screenshots to compare if Apple actually optimised all the faces for the S7.

Hard to tell with photos of the watches because of different angles and perspective…

if you post some (digital) screenshots from your S7 watch.app, I’d love to composite them with my s4’s. Lens distortion and angles makes photos tricky to gauge like I tried upthread, as you said.

Certainly the faces have been optimized (they paid lots of attention to the S3 faces this time, too). Just not how people on here would have liked.

And I’ll tell you ahead of time I’m almost certain the Circuit and Circulaire were properly up-sized, in the way that my s4/5/6 faces all got bigger interface elements when I upgraded. I think Apple standardized across the the eras for every face *except* Hermes original recipe.

ok so s4 is in pink here. Also if you don’t mind, could you turn on Do Not Disturb and take one more watch-native screenshot? I think in the name of fairness, we should compare it to my s4, where the DND moon smushes my top row of numerals down. Now if I feel like I want an S7, I’ll just turn off DND and the bezel looks smaller 😹

So they DID push the numbers out horizontally, but not vertically. Interesting.

So this solves all the queries about them not optimising the watch face for S7. They did optimise it, but not a lot.

The Circulae face looks more dramatic, all numbers shifted out and the complications pushed outwards.
The original Hermes face has the numerals slightly pushed out horizontally, but not much (if any) vertically.

And a weird leftward shift…im sure there’s an explanation but I wasn’t expecting that, as the center circles line up and I didn’t touch the screenshot boundaries, just pasted them one on the other…

The leftward shift has now totally flipped me to the “fix it” or at least the “it’s possible they’ll fix it” camp. Someone needs to bust out some Photoshop rulers and see if maybe the old one was off and the new one is “fixed.”

Just got my new Hermes version! I upgraded from a 44mm series 4.
I’m quite pleased with the size. Wish I could get the deployment buckle but I feel like even with the extra holes punched, it would look silly. I’m already at the smallest hole for this watch. 😅

Do we actually want these dials overly “optimized” for the face? I would rather them be well designed over having the numbers stretched into the outer limits just because they can be. The lobbying to Hermes should be for a new numerical face that takes advantage of the extra real estate.

😂 honestly, once you start with the bracelets, it’s hard to stop! I have a few more I’m planning to get in the boutique soon.

I’ve never heard of glenan, it looks like a cross between Kelly and the mini Kelly double tour unless it’s the mini (roughly released earlier this year, late last I believe) and glenan is a name for it?

either way I agree but I never shop in the boutiques so I’m beholden to whatever pops up on the site (where I do a good amount of stalking).

This is the glenan double tour which I think was a release about the same time as the mini Kelly and mini Rivale bracelet. ☺️ The glenan will be on my left with my watch as it has the least chances of scratching the watch case. I might add a mini Rivale soon but need to figure the colour to get! The heavier arm stack will be on my right.

Ordered the Goliath in black. Sigh. It’ll be here tomorrow according to FedEx but I haven’t gotten a shipping notice from H yet so we’ll see if that date sticks. The simplicity of the Goliath did me in lol! I was actually looking for something in braided silk in petite h this weekend but there were only necklaces.

I wish returns and exchanges were as simple in the boutiques as they are online.

Ahh ! Yes I’m familiar with it but I thought you were referring with the picture you showed. I have something similar but it’s since been discontinued or not as there often.. it’s straight leather no braid, and instead of the clasp or circle and stick, it’s H,
I love it. Reminds me of this Tiffany Picasso piece that was part rubber and sterling silver.. was so upset with myself when it fell off and I didn’t notice (shoddy repair on Tiffany’s if we were to be honest). I’ve been hoping they’d bring it back since it was not issued since. I don’t even have a picture but it’s simple black rubber with a clasp that has ridges, and it screws together. Simple but lovely.
