Just got my AW last night and it’s really exciting until the tiny #scratch on the stainless case, even not put the strap onto the watch yet. I know I could return this watch but there is no stock in the apple store website with Attelage Single Tour one, witch means i have to wait and no one can tell me when will it be available. Need some advice if you will return this watch or just ignore the tiny scratch and wear it today?!
I’ve got a bigger scuff but I’m learning to live with it. I may take the advice of a Cape Cod cloth a few months from now before the Series 8 if I resell. But for now I’m “ignoring” my scuff and focusing on the beauty of the bands (Lol).

Does anyone have the 44/45 mm watch case and can post pics of it with a 40/41 mm double tour? Wanna see how mismatched the lugs are and how far they recess into the slots.

Hello from my launch day series 6. Just enjoy it. Scratches are inevitable.

I tried that with the Milanese and braided loops. Looks real bad. Don’t have a picture to share sadly

Keep it. The stainless steel picks up scratches. It’s just the nature of the material. Even if yours had been pristine out of the box, I guarantee it would have gotten a few small micro scratches like that within a week of use. Think of it as a patina similar to what your leather band will develop over time. If it really bothers you, you can always polish it with a cape cod cloth.

One thing to remember about these micro scratches: the stainless steel is so shiny and reflective that nobody can see the scratches at a normal viewing distance. They are only noticeable to the wearer. Someone would have to be leaning in to within a foot or so to see the scratches and that doesn’t happen in the real world. Also, even if someone could see the scratches, 99% of people out on the street wouldn’t notice or care (much like they wouldn’t care that you have the Hermes edition).

Your options are to live with the scuffs, polish them out occasionally, or buy the space black model. But, at the end of the day, the scratches will only be visible to you.

I had a couple scratches on mine within a week of owning it. I was a bit annoyed, but the thing is, the silver stainless steel on this is just as scratchable as the stainless steel used on most high end watches. So it's less an Apple Watch problem and more a high end watch problem.

Does anyone mix and match their bands to achieve a similar effect without waiting for Hermes to do another release in this fashion?
A friend of mine mixed the original Hermès orange with the Craie / orange band displayed above, looks quite good. Especially because he loves the orange color.

I have this band in orange and i’m disappointed. After 10 days the threads at the end of the longer strap are fraying. Hugely disappointed.
I’m on the fence about the last season Rouge and the new Lime. Are these worth the money or stick with their leather (is what I’m thinking). I’d love to see Lime live if one one has it.

I had originally intended to get the new Swift Lime leather strap, but as that one turned to be (in my eyes) inferior in colour and leather type to the older Epson Lime strap (which I‘ll keep hunting on ebay), I ended up getting the Kraft/Lime Jumping band instead. It is bright and subtle at the same time and I like it very, very much. I always enjoyed the Woven bands from Apple (and still have almost 20 of those), but the Hermès nylon strap is in a whole different class.

So this happened. A screw detached. Luckily the watch was not damaged. The Apple store doesn’t have the right screwdriver but helped me assemble it back, the Hermès store in Zurich is now checking and servicing the band. (actually they send it to their ateliers).

That’s really not acceptable for such an expensive band. Luckily your watch wasn’t damaged!

I wonder if they would repair your watch if the loosened screw caused your watch to fall onto the ground.

Detached like unscrewed or snapped off? And wow that’s turnabout is fair play on Apple’s much loathed proprietary-ish pentalobe screwdriver. I can’t believe they didn’t have one. A sad day in the Genius Bar!

I guess it needed more Loc-tite. Now I’m wondering how they put it back together without a screwdriver.
