LOS ANGELES BABY!!
This may seem like a regurgitation of this entire thread for the past 12 months, so all apologies in advance, but the Kilim is the way to go.

My noir Kilim has been the most used band by far this entire year (I also have two Hermès leathers and two Hermès Jumpings, along with two dozen Apple bands). The versatility is unbeatable as a daily driver. I've worn it to the office, fancy dinner, pool, hiking, business lunch, playground with the kids, etc.

I haven't worn it with a suit, but I believe you could with the noir or navy. Also, the Kilim is still a great option during the winter months, so long as you aren't fixing power lines after a blizzard or anything like that.

The deployment takes some time getting used to comfort-wise, if you're not familiar with it (I had to get used to my Fauve Barenia Deployment as my first Hermès band). But after a short period of time, you forget about it.

Post pics of whatever you decide to get, and good luck.
I agree about the Kilm bands. By far my favorite band!! I ordered my Hermes Series 10 with the Beton band also and I ordered the green and blue Kilm bands too! I have the five bands from the first kilm release but I skipped the spring summer ones.

I’ve more or less decided to cancel my previous order (42mm natural titanium) but need some final tips to help me make up my mind on which strap to go with the Hermés Edition watch. I plan to add more straps to my collection over time, but I want to start with one that I’ll actually wear. I’d prefer to go with a leather strap, but since Apple doesn’t sell them anymore and I don’t want to deal with Hermés directly (in case of any issues with the watch), I’ll probably buy one later as an extra.

The Toile H Simple Tour (Gold/Écru) caught my eye, but it's sold out with a mid-November delivery, and I really don’t want to wait that long. Not a fan of the Double Tour straps, and the Twill Jump Attelage Simple Tour looks a bit too feminine for my taste (or what do you think?). That leaves the Kilim Simple Tour strap. Rubber feels more like a casual summer material to me, so I’m debating how much I’d use it this year (maybe a bit in the coming weeks, when it's still a bit warm). Thinking of going with black or orange, but since the watch already comes with an orange strap, black might be the better choice. Would love the blue one, but it's not available for the 42mm watch case.

Also, are there any folks from the Nordics (especially Sweden) active in this thread? Do you have any experience with the Hermés Edition being sold in-store on release day in previous years? Apple Support couldn’t confirm if the Hermés Edition will be in-store tomorrow. Really hoping the H Simple Tour will be available for pick-up, but I’m guessing that’s unlikely.

Appreciate your help! :)
I feel qualified to answer this one as I was kinda in your shoes! I'd originally ordered the 42 Toile H, with a 10/15-10/31 delivery. I ended up cancelling and getting the noir Kilim as it had a launch day delivery, and more importantly, I really wanted a 'forget about it' Hermés band as the jumping and leather ones are little more effort to keep clean.

To be honest. I wish I kept my original pre order from Apple and then get the leather strap separately

If I go to one of the Apple Stores in London do you think there’s a chance of being able to pick one up tomorrow?

Thanks, everyone!

I’m really pedantic about what I wear (men’s wear and watches are two of my main hobbies). This will actually be my first Apple Watch purchase after being pretty anti-smartwatch for a long time—I was gifted an SE2 a few months back, and it completely changed my mind.

Given my interest in men’s wear, wearing a rubber strap with fall/winter clothing won't really match that well. I quite aware that fabric/leather straps require extra care, so that's not really an issue. So, I guess I’m stuck going with the Kilim strap unless I want to wait until November. I’ll likely end up wearing it mostly with the link bracelet (really hoping it matches the silver finish). I’m not a huge fan of deployment clasps since I have slim wrists (15.5cm), and I find regular tang buckles much more comfortable. Any other slim-wristed folks here who find the Kilim buckle comfortable?

So, it’s down to a battle between the orange and black Kilim strap. Which one would you guys pick? :)

Black. Only because you’ll also get an orange sport band with it

Only if it's a location that offers it. Not every Apple Store will carry it; but if it's the flagship ones like Regent Street then the Hermes will be available there. Ask a Specialist if you'd like to try one on ~

LOS ANGELES BABY!!
My 42mm is in Louisville too! I got the Store notification this morning. Looks like UPS next day air.
Mine is on the same plane as my iPhone and they are about to land in Ontario, CA in another 20 minutes. I live in Los Angeles. My other straps are coming from Rialto, CA which is close to Ontario, CA. I have 5 boxes coming tomorrow!!🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Well, I just placed an order for the 42mm case with a black Kilim strap. Estimated delivery is the 26th. For those of you who receive it tomorrow - I would if you could check how the colour is and if it (hopefully) is a perfect match with the old Milanese loop/link bracelet. :)

By the way, I would love an orange leather strap (single loop) for it. I can't see it on Hermés website, although it should be available according to the Bandbreite app. Do you guys know anything more about it? :)

Are you referring to the Orange swift leather band?

I attached a photo below. Appreciate it, but I don't need photos, I'm just wondering why I can't seem to find it on Hermés' website. :)

Everything is seasonal and sometimes colors or patterns and styles are only released once and then not again after supply runs out. In some instances, a color will return several seasons later. Since it is a signature color, it may return in some fashion at some point but you have to be diligent in checking stock online or at a local retail boutique. Otherwise, you may want to find it on resale outlets.

Yeah, right now they pulled the original Hermes orange colored leather band. Don't know why.
Maybe they want to refresh the stock and sell more seasonal colors.

If I were you, I'd call every Hermes store within your proximity and ask for availability. One boutique might just have it laying in the storage room.

I'm sure orange will come up again later, just don't know when. It's the classic Hermes color. So don't worry about it.
