Hi all! Quick question: I have a Space Black Series 9 and bought it with the 41mm Gold/Écru Toile H Single Tour. I didn't realise its hardware was silver instead of black, so when I first got it I looked at the band, held it next to the watch and decided it wasn't for me, then put it back in the box where it's sat ever since! Since the band is brand new I'm thinking of selling it and wanted advice about what people usually do - put it on eBay? Something else?

(I know it's possible to get another band with black hardware and swap it over, but I'm not really interested in doing that as I have plenty of other bands that I should be wearing already! 😅)

Happy new year!

No problem here in Germany, either from Apple or from Hermès directly. Not before xmas though.

The Grand H Band have been unavailable on Apple’s website for the past two weeks now in Germany, and Hermès has now removed all 46mm sizes from their site. Over Christmas, the watch and the band in sizes M and L were available for a few hours through Apple.
Right now, I have the Grand H band with the Series 10 from Hermès. However, since I was between two sizes (small & medium) I initially decided to go with small when I purchased it directly from Hermès in mid December. Unfortunately, this choice is starting to feel like a mistake. I’m hoping the band in sizes M or L will become available again. Even though the Grand H band sometimes feels a bit tight on my wrist now, it’s still the most beautiful band I’ve had in 10 years of wearing an Apple Watch. It would be disappointing if they don’t restock them.

For the Grand H, if you’re in Europe, I recommend the local Hermes shops. In the US, I didn’t have much luck (in Seattle or Chicago, can’t speak to stores that might be more popular and thus get more stock) but in Rome, I was able to get the 42mm band in small quite easily, despite it not being available on the Hermes Italy website.

I’ve been trying to source another 42mm in small or medium for a friend but have had a hard time. Apple Stores DO carry the band (at least in the US — in Canada they just seem to have them for display and can’t order them) and in Italy, they had the large size available (fortunately, Hermes had it in small — tho they had it in medium too) at the Apple Store in Rome, but I’ve struck out other places and it’s hard to get a sense of who has what size because they don’t have the stock on the website and I’m not even sure if Apple employees can check it (or to be more specific: I’m unsure if their default inventory app shows anything beyond what you see on the website which is sold out everywhere), which means visiting (or I suppose calling) locations.

Despite the price, the demand has to be exceptional and I guess the hand-made nature keeps the supply relatively low.

I really wanted to buy the watch and band together but had to get them separately because finding it was so difficult.

Still, easily the best band I’ve ever seen for an Apple Watch. I was never that interested in the previous Hermes models, although some of the straps are lovely, but the Grand H is just gorgeous. Provided I can always get a stainless steel or stainless titanium Apple Watch (and I used to always get the gold stainless — or at least I’d alternate certain years), I anticipate I’ll wear this band for many years to come.

Can you make Gruber talk about watch bands more next time you go on the Talk Show ☺️

Yes!!! I will most definitely do that!
You’ve been posting here all throughout the Grand H saga and I just realized why your pfp and handle were so familiar. Top guest of that pod!

How are you liking the Hermes faces? I didn’t know I needed them, but wanted the Indigo Rallye so ended up with an S4 Hermes as a lateral upgrade from a regular S4 and quickly fell in love.

Even gave up the Gold Stainless lifestyle to have Hermes Silver in both sizes because of those damn small-watch exclusive colors.

And any other Hermes bands in your collection?

I have a photos-only discord server in my sig with photos of just about every Hermes band that fits my wrist if you needed to be tempted to get more bands

I find The Hermes Deployment bands are easiest for me to manage on my Hermes S10. I have just switched from the Kilim to the leather deployment band. Anything to be mindful of? I am still looking for an easy to fasten stainless steel band. Any suggestions?

That would be the Grand H. It’s pricey and hard to find at the moment but it has the same deployment bands as others.

Are you sure it’s deployment? I thought it was the same mechanism as the link bracelet which I cannot do.

if I were to get the Grsnd H band, what size would I need? My wrist is about 170 mm. Thanks.

I may have misunderstood. It’s the same type of spring mechanism as on the Kilim but it’s not threaded with holes.
Thanks. I better try before I purchase I have an eye hand coordination issue. Is this easier to fasten than the Apple link bracelet? If I purchase it, what size would I need? . My wrist is 170 mm.

@filmgirl then how does it close?

There are two buttons on the side that held together unless a spring loaded clasp. Each side connects and folds out like on the Kilim. You fold each side over and it shuts very neatly. And it’s spring loaded to open

Looks like the Apple US on-line store is taking order for AWH10 with the Grand H again, I opted for store pickup to avoid porch pirates, estimated 3 weeks. Good luck everyone!

Apple emailed an update, now estimated pick up next week, yay!!!

Is just me but this Beton kilim band looking nice with the ultra 2 in that beautiful black color!? I’m loving the contrast. I got the itch and ended up ordering one. I’m going to be rotating between this and the my Hermes titanium now. Ended up picking up every color of the kilim colors as well over the holidays since the kilim has become my favorite band of all time lol. And on the weekends I’ll be wearing the grand H comb with the titanium Hermes.

IMO that set is totally not matching each other, black ultra, silver lugs & clasp, beige rubber, anyway - good, that for you it's ok and you are enjoying!

In all seriousness, I’m glad you like it. But I agree with mecei, it’s too much contrast.

Just got the Grand H S10, the quality of the bracelet itself is fantastic, very burly, feels better than my Rolex bracelet and rivals a VC overseas bracelet (also a thick bracelet). However aesthetically I think Apple’s link bracelet still looks better, a more cohesive design with AW.

A friend of mine saw my Grand H and asked me why did I get a third party bracelet, I can’t say I fault him……

p.s. I also got the En Mer band for my Ultra II, I do think it looks great on the Ultra.
