They definitely seem backed up in delivering the Grand H, or at least slow ramp up. I have an order from a month ago with the Grand H medium in 46mm to be delivered between "dec 12-19th", but my order still shows processing. Usually Apple beats their estimates, first time I've seen no movement despite being in the estimated delivery window.

There's no rush of course, but the anticipation is real lol.

Ordered the 42mm Grand H band in Large from the Hermes US site today. It didn’t list a delivery timeframe but I’m hopeful it’s soon since I didn’t see the band listed for sale on their site yesterday. It’s also no longer available to purchase now since I placed my order. Very excited to get it!

Oh, I check Apple and Hermes daily. Multiple times, actually. It's kind of an addiction at this point. 😆

I looked Hermès in the Apple sites. The Hermès site at times only has like one item and if you don’t get it then it’s gone. Apple on the other hand he has only two or three. Future information if you buy an apple product in Japan it cannot be serviced either with AppleCare in any other part of the world. But if you’re by United States M4 iPad and I bought AppleCare it can be service worldwide.

So just to post this here in some random place, I had a Series 7 Hermes watch which I bought when the Series 7's first came out, but decided to go with the Ultra 2 when I upgraded around 15 months ago (mostly because of battery life). However, since getting the Ultra 2, I've lost a little over 70 lbs of weight, which puts me now at a normal BMI for I think the first time since childhood. Went from a high of 210 lbs to current weight of 137 lbs. Since losing the weight, my Ultra 2 has started to look and feel really bulky, which it didn't when I was, uh, fuller. Fuller in the waist, fuller in the face, and, of course, fuller in the wrists.

I put back on my Series 7 Hermes and showed my wife -- she said it looked far better on me than the Ultra 2 now. Unfortunately, the battery is pretty much shot. It will make it at most 6 hours at medium brightness with the AOD turned on, yet the battery health (somehow) still registers at 84%... which I don't believe for a second. So, it's pretty much useless to me as it can't even make it through a workday, let alone from morning to bedtime.

So, given the long story above, I decided to take this opportunity to buy a Series 10 Hermes with the Gold/Écru Toile H Single Tour band. Should arrive on Wednesday! I'm actually kind of happy that I'll be able to wear some of my older bands with silver hardware that didn't look right on my Ultra 2.

I would have skipped the Hermes and gone with just the regular Stainless, but since it doesn't exist anymore, and the finish on the standard Titanium doesn't match the silver hardware of all my old bands, I caved and bought the Hermes again. Traded the Series 7 Hermes in for it. Didn't get all that much, but at least it's a little something.

Good catch! Hermès only puts items on their site that are in stock so your Grand H will ship very soon.

Mine also finally shipped for tomorrow delivery, excited to see if the band lives up to the hype (and its price!)

Both Hermes and Apple have the 46mm Grand H in medium (Hermes also has it in small) for purchase. No guarantee it arrives before Christmas, though.

If real, this is a rare one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2862190478...CaiAUhyR5W&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Problem is, seller has been accused of selling fake goods and has a number of bad reviews. I don’t have the stomach to gamble $2,500 on an iffy international buyer but if someone else does, this is your chance.
I’d proceed with caution. The date a marking (U), while correct for a 2022 band, is upside down. Also the “Made for Apple Watch” markings look a little off to me (though I’m having a hard time saying exactly why). Neither are outright red flags but I think you are right to be wary given the negative feedback the seller has.

Finally pulled the trigger on the 46mm Hapi Double Tour - will be getting it some time next week and hoping that it will work well for me. I saw the actual item in Hermes but they didn't allow me to try it on at all (seems like they had no sample bands for the 46mm double tour and there was only one piece in stock). It feels like such a gamble now that Apple doesn't carry the leather bands, so I am SOL on returns if it doesn't suit me.

How do you know that U is the correct date for 2022? I read StellaFudge’s post but didn’t understand that part.

(I’m not looking to buy the mentioned band, just wanting to learn for my own benefit)

Scroll for a bit and you get to Hermes

Also lol doesn’t it seem like the listing’s photos are dialed in to be just blurry enough to make it hard to clock the lettering details?

Though I agree with above the MFW text has a gestalt of fake.

Finally got it, Hermes 46mm grand H in med. I really appreciate those who helped me out with sizing estimates compared to the kilim.

I took out one link and it fits perfectly on my nearly 7.5 inch wrist diameter, ironically even fairly centered on the clasp end even with the one link out.

The feel of this band is something I could not imagine even just reading the descriptions here. Such a smooth and solid (somewhat heavy) feeling band, really nothing like it! Miles above the apple stainless steel link band.

Adjusting the sizing made me a bit nervous as it’s a bit fidgety, and I thought I may have scratched the band with my nail. But thankfully no scratches and the stainless steel feels remarkable. And this is coming from also having 2 omega seamaster watches with the mesh bracelets. I feel it’s definitely worth the price (I can of course say that without knowing this is the Hermes thread lol).

Overall highly recommended for those on the fence!

I also just updated that post with the date code for 2024 (which is W).

I believe Hermès would punch an extra hole for you.
I just wanted to report that I called the three Hermes Stores in Las Vegas and even called the store in Beverley Hills CA and all 4 states that Hermes absolutely will not add any holes to any band. A gentleman at the store I have frequented in Wynn Resort said he would not even suggest that a jeweler or shoe repair shop even touch it because it would compromise the integrity of the watch. He asked why I did not immediately return the watch? I said because I want the watch and have other Hermes bands that do fit. He then just said, well there is no way we can help you. I think my next choice is I do know a very reputable Leather and Shoe Repair shop that I think would be able to add the holes. I was just surprised at the attitude.

I’m not surprised by the attitude. If a hole they punched led to a deeper rip or other structural damage in the leather, Hermes wouldn’t want to assume responsibility.

This was one of the reasons I wanted to find the 42mm Grand H band in small, because even with the ability to remove links, I was concerned a medium (and especially a large) would be too big and I didn’t want to have to take such an expensive band to a jeweler to remove additional links in the off-chance w

That said, I think it would be fine to go to a trusted leather or shoe repair place — or even a jeweler that repairs luxury watches in-house. Someone who you can trust to have precision.

Punching a hole into a watchband will compromise the integrity of the watch...
...the watch will scream and fall apart.

I can confirm the punch hole solution from Brien working. Every leather shop will have excactly THIS instrument in a drawer for this task. It even works for the orange one-size Polyelastomer band from Hermès or Apple. The holes in the Polyelastomer do not look as shiny as the original holes, but as you are using this hole, you wont see it anyway.

As for the bands in general: They are getting worn. The holes will wear out if u use the band. They do not last forever.

Yeah, punching a hole in leather isn't rocket science. I understand why Hermes wouldn't want to do it, but I don't think anyone should have any fear putting a hole in leather. It'll be fine as long as the person doing it knows what they're doing.
