Which strap do you think you’ll wear more on a daily basis?

The indigo is very classy and will match different outfits better. It’s a bit understated but more suited to a professional or office environment.
I had the indigo swift last year and I wore it to work, meetings, weddings and lazy weekend out.

You were worried about staining the white part of the clown strap before?

If you’re going to be sensible, then I don’t even know what we’re doing here!

I’m not an office kind of a guy. I really like the Link and the Hermès sport, so they will be my go to bands. The Indigo Swift is boring. I can only justify keeping the Hermès if I have an Hermès strap, and the clown strap looks kinda fun. If it helps, I’m gay. Ruggedly gay, obviously.

Then what are you waiting for? Go for the clown strap right now!

Flaunt your awesomeness! I am hahahaha

Really looking forward to Hermes S4 40mm Bordeaux/Rose coming next week.

The gold SS ISN’T awesome in either the S4 or the Xs, although I absolutely love the function of both devices.

Don’t think as hard a choice as I thought on which unit to return.

I love the new Hermes Series 4. I forgot how much I loved the Fauve Barenia color. I’m coming from the Ebene Deployment Buckle and wow the Fauve is beautiful.

I opted for the traditional buckle and it’s amazing how much more comfortable the band is compared to the Deployment Buckle.

I’m glad I did that! Not a big fan of the new watch faces because it makes it obvious that the entire front isn’t screen.

I’d really love to see pictures of the Fauve Grained Barenia. Not sure I can handle the holes in the band though...
Regarding the déployante (didn't know this is the correct spelling, not deployant or deployment) buckle, can ask your wrist size? Is it way below average or above average in size? I think their straps are rather small as the max wrist that fits their straps is 195mm. Maybe the déployante contraption was resting more on the side of your wrist rather than the underside. I got to try out the traditional buckle and it's noticeable more comfortable and thinner than the déployante. But the benefit of the déployante is taking off and putting on the AW much faster than the traditional buckle, and it saves the leather from being stretch and stressed as you set up the band up with the correct hole just once. Did you find the déployante convenient and did it help the leather last longer?

To prevent the strap from getting wet, do you wear your Hermes higher up on your wrist? Or do you take your watch off every time you wash your hands?

If it’s the fauve barenia, I take it off.

If it’s the swift leather tours, don’t have to worry about it cos they’re more resistant to water.

And Swift is just as soft as Barenia? I think I read that Epsom is quite hard?
[doublepost=1537591713][/doublepost]Anybody know the history as to why the spelling evolved from déployante to deployant or deployment buckle? Seems like it was originally déployante because déployante means "folding" in French. But déployant is a French word that means deployment, so I'm guessing that's why it's called deployment in English.

Yes from my own experience swift is just as soft as barenia (if not softer).

Epsom should be the hardest wearing but also stiffest.

I’m a guy with dainty wrists, or so I thought, but the double tour is so tight! I am on the second last and even the last strap hole, but it still feels a bit too snug on the wrist. I can’t even put the excess strap through the hoops properly (because of the clasp, can’t go through the first one, and the second one barely holds anything).

I guess it eventually becomes a bit more stretched? I’m using the indigo bleu if that matters.

Any chance of some pics? :)

Double Tour says it fits 140 - 160mm.

I also consider myself to have dainty wrists for a guy (165mm), but it would be too small for me.

Have you measured your wrist around? How many mm?

Hermès S4 unboxing

Single tour

This is beautiful, I feel that thanks to the rounded corner edge to edge display for the first time ever these can venture into “nice watch” territory (sorry for s3 owners but a rectangular “tv” thing is not a dial), but the next fundamental step is figuring out how to do always-on display (and true tone at that, if possible). Apple please figure it out in the coming years.
