LOS ANGELES BABY!!
Hi

So I love my series 3 Hermes edition barenia deployment buckle. I ordered the series 4 stainless steel gold 44mm but I am having second thoughts. I love the Hermes exclusive faces that so I don’t know that I will actually be happy going to the stainless steel gold model. I was actually going to keep my deployment buckle to place it on my new series 4 and then just sell my series 3 with the Hermes exclusive orange band.

For those of you that have worn the series 3 and then now have the series 4, Do you think going to the stainless steel gold model would be as nice as the Hermes??

Also I really don’t know which one I like I like better the indigo swift blue or the indigo /craie orange model.

If I were to order the indigo Swift blue do I get the two-tone faces that comes with the indigo/craie model??

Thanks in advance for your help everyone just trying to make up my mind what I want and your input would be invaluable

All Hermès S4 watches should get all the Hermès watch faces, including the two tone watch face.

I hope at some point there will be a way to transform the Watchfaces to a different model.

It is a bit pricey to always go for the Hermes model, just to get the exclusive watchface. Maybe at some point they will just sell the body?

Wow. Dismal customer service experience.

First we have the tedious identity verification. For some reason my billing address includes my county but my shipping address doesn’t. He asked me for the billing address. I didn’t give the county so he refused to discuss the purchase with me. Ridiculous

But worse, he said they don’t exchange straps. I’d have to return the entire watch just to change the strap, even though the cost is the same. Ridiculous.

Apple officially sucks.
[doublepost=1537613698][/doublepost]Hmm. So I tried again. More helpful agent who wasn’t an identity Nazi. Apparently you can swatch straps. But not with the Hermès. You have to return the whole thing. Which is dumb now that the strap is separately boxed.

Double Tour says it fits 140 - 160mm.

I also consider myself to have dainty wrists for a guy (165mm), but it would be too small for me.

Have you measured your wrist around? How many mm?

Darn I am a couple of millimetres above 160, and now quite shocked that there’d be people with 140mm wrists.

I remember they used to have a larger versions of the double tour and I’m kinda sad they don’t offer it now. The double tour is literally the only band that I find nice aside from the sport band. Hoping that the strap stretches a little over time.

Dang the one I have ordered is available for in store pickup at 4 NYC stores.

Kind of annoying when my delivery window is in october. Hopefully that gets moved up.

I could cancel and walk in, but for a variety of reasons I’ll let it be and try to be patient!

Instant gratification is overrated in any case. ;)

Ha. Agreed. Also just noticed I’ve been moved to Preparing To Ship, up from Processing. Date range still the same but I’m optimistic :)

EDIT: well that was fast! Just got the shipping email. Coming 9/27!

EDIT2: UPS tracking saying 9/25!!

Talk about under promising and over delivering!

Hermes believes one can never be too rich or too thin.

Wondering if there’s a Hermes “wrist diet”?
Perhaps cold sculpting for wrists?
Mom always said blame it on bone structure.

I was hoping the 195mm DT Chinese knock-off I ordered would pass, but it arrives in mid-Oct & my watch has been moved up to deliver 9/24-9/27. pushes the 14-day window for returning DT version for single tour.

First time disappointed at an early AW arrival. :p

There is a new two toned face called Ambre that looks killer with the orange sport band. My watch came with the clown double tour but this look has me strongly considering adding that Feu Epsom at some point. Maybe if I win the lottery . . .

Yes, I love it. It goes well (I think) with my Indigo Swift (pictured) and my Link.

I snapped a pic and the pink was over purple-ized as in yours. Looks much better in person. And for those worried about will my old bands fit? Don’t. Just realized I went into an opening frenzy yesterday. Wore clown for rest of day. Then when I went for a run this morning, I put watch on the older rubber Hermes band. I didn’t notice at all but must now find packaging to get new sport strap. Oops.

Yeah, photographing Apple Watches with faithful colours is difficult.

What inspired you to get the Hermès AW? Perhaps you felt the Edition (when it was available) was too expensive. You like the Hermes faces? You knew about Hermes straps? I never heard of Hermès until their AW came out. Then over the years I gave it more serious thought. My plan A wasn’t going to work is what got me to pull the trigger. There was no SS in the White sport band available for Launch Day even at the very start of pre-order. I was surprised and figured I had no problem getting one for Launch Day because in the past it was the aluminum ones that sold out quickly. Without really thinking about a plan B I was stuck if I wanted AW on Launch Day. I wasn’t too interested in the SS in Milanese as I had that with S0. I had the aluminum S3 and didn’t like it as much as the SS. In the past I wanted to try a deployante buckle but couldn’t accept spending $500 for a strap.

If it’s the fauve barenia, I take it off.

If it’s the swift leather tours, don’t have to worry about it cos they’re more resistant to water.

Good to know that the Barenia watch bands have to be removed. I'm thinking about getting the Series 4 with a Barenia strap. I have several Barenia handbags from Hermes and they're my bags of choice in downpours; even when soaked they dry without marks, so I would never have known to remove the watch bands without reading this thread. Even oil spots usually get absorbed by my handbags after a week or two since Barenia is an oil-tanned saddle leather. I wonder if they use a different tanning process on the straps? I wouldn't be surprised, since the straps I see in photos look much less glossy than my Barenia handbags-- but that could just be because my bags have years and years of patina on them.

Hi all, does anyone with small wrists have experience with the Hermes straps on the 38/40mm? Interested in buying the bright orange one currently on the store which says fits 145-180mm. Believe my wrists are around the 135mm mark (second to last hole on sport bands), wondered if anyone with experience would be able to advise whether it’ll fit okay?

I hear you. I want that Feu Epsom but my wrist is shy of 130 which is why I got the double tour (I think the smaller your wrist, the better they look). I wear last hole on sport bands but am seriously tempted to order that one and try it. Cmon lottery . . .

Good to know i'm not the only one limited by small wrists! Does the double tour fit okay? Think I could go for that if the Feu Epsom didn't fit... Yep I'm also tempted to order and try, my watch is coming around 5th October so might pop into stores and see if I can try one then :)

so...to understand the nomenclature....are y’all numbering the strap holes with closest to watch case/lug when open being “1/first”?

or vice versa?

For me, I say last hole to mean the one to make it smallest around.

I’ve found the double tours work well. Since I have the clown strap, I doubt I’d go for the double in orange. I really want that single to work. Maybe if it allows for extra holes? If you have a store nearby, do let me know.

What really works well for smaller wrists is the Modern Buckle. I have that coming in red on Monday along with the Lavender Grey Sport Band. Oh and if you like the link band, it’s fantastic. I tried almost every knockoff available and none would convert to a small enough size but the Apple. It’s actually worth the price imo.

I don’t think they would use a different kind of leather or tanning just for the watch bands?

Maybe I’m just paranoid. My fauve has darkened a lot over the last year and the smallest hole which I use daily on the strap has frayed. I’ve also had a few drops of water on it from washing my hands and they stained the strap easily and I can’t remove it without waiting for the rest of the strap to darken up to cover the water drop.

A few pics of the fauve barenia now. I love to wear it cos it’s so soft and smells so good but it is also so delicate!

Hermès will punch additional holes for you at no charge?

Back with the Hermès. Picked this up after stock showed up at the Stanford apple store. They had the gold Milanese which is what I had ordered. I like the gold on the phone but the watch wasn’t for me. This is something I wear daily and wanted the nicest look as possible.
