I agree, the stuff on Amazon is mostly cheap stuff. If you are looking for high quality bands, Juuk offers some of the best.

www.juukdesign.com

I purchased several for my Series 3 stainless, and I can attest to their quality. They are as good, if not better, than metal bracelets you would find from Rolex or Omega. They really elevate the stainless steel watch into a luxury item. And yes, they are nicer than the Apple bracelet.

Now, all that said, the current crop of Junk metal bands do not fit the Series 4 watch. They are working on revised connectors since Apple apparently made some slight changes in the connector between the Series 0-3 and the 4, so don't buy right now if you have a Series 4 watch. Wait until next spring when they should have these issues ironed out. You won't be disappointed.
How or why does an old Apple Link bracelet fit when the AW connector is different from S4 vs. S0-3?
[doublepost=1542156916][/doublepost]
I don't have a Hermes, but I can tell you the Apple link bracelet (marked for the 42mm watches) fits absolutely perfectly on my 44mm Series 4. The connector is absolutely flush with the watch at all points.

I do like this bracelet quite a bit. Removing links to get the proper size is very easy and requires no tools. It's not quite as bulky or heavy as, say, the stainless bracelet on my Omega Seamaster, but each link is a tiny bit thinner which gives the bracelet a certain elegance. The butterfly closure mechanism works great, and the brushed finish goes well with the polished stainless finish of my SS S4 watch. However, that said, I wish they made a polished version of this bracelet. I think it would look good as well, particularly on the smaller steel watch worn by a woman.

I was having a hard time justifying the $450 price, but the $350 price is more reasonable for what you get.
The extension links are of the same thickness, correct?

You could always polish it or have it polished by a jeweler or other handy person. The stainless steel they use is nothing special and should take a polish quite easily.

[QUOTE=" And it can't be because of "consistency" because I bought Apple's Link bracelet when I found out it was reduced by $100. The packaging on it says it's for a 42mm AW (not 44mm).

I’ve actually been thinking of getting one of link bracelets for my 44mm Hermes AW. How do you like it? By chance could you post a picture of it with your watch?[/QUOTE]
I don't completely know how to post a pic on here. Something like upload a pic to hosting site, then copy and paste the link? I think there are additional steps??

I can confirm some of the negatives that others have posted about the Link. The brushed steel does easily get scuffed. I have one now in which the steel is not brushed anymore, instead it's shiny-ish or has many many fine scratches. I have had a scratch yet, but read it scratches easily. I was ready for it so it didn't bother me. Another poster said to use hydrogen peroxide in a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, or did the poster mean soak it in hydrogen peroxide first then use ultrasonic (?), to clean Link when "things" get inside the links. I clean the Link with soap and water often so hopefully there won't be any crud build up.

To have it fit on your wrist one side of the Link will have more links. I have 12 on one side and 8 on the other. Another poster didn't like how it's "unbalanced" like that. I rather have it more balanced, but I'm okay with it.

It looks great and is very comfortable. Very easy to take on and off. Butterfly clasp is great. For an all-steel look I think it's better looking than the Milanese. So far it's working better than the Milanese. I had the old style, and many say better-quality Milanese.

I would not characterize the bracelet as “old”. And as for the fit with the connector, you’ll have to ask Tim Cook or Jony Ive. I do not know. All I know is that it fits, and rather well.

If you read the blog posts from Eugene Ho, owner of Juuk, his thinking is that the Juuk bracelets are made to tighter tolerances than the Apple bracelet, and that this is the cause of the misfitment in the connectors. Having used both the Juuk and Apple bracelets, I believe this is a distinct possibility.

Yes.

You didn’t ask me but here is my Hermès with the link bracelet.

That’s for posting your pic! I noticed your Link is quite symmetric. It looks like you have 6 links on the Crown side and 8 links on the non-Crown side. And your butterfly sitting quite centered on the bottom of your wrist. I have 12 links on the Crown side and 8 on the non-Crown side. My butterfly is mostly centered. It might be more centered if moved the links so that it’s 13 on the Crown side and 7 on the non-Crown side. But I think that would make the whole Link look even more unbalanced with only 7 links on one side of the AW and 13 on the other side of the AW.

What is with the shape of my wrist that requires a lopsided arrangement of links vs your almost perfectly symmetrically arrangement of links. Another poster returned his Link because his required arrangement of links was too lopsided for him.

I have a small wrist for a male 155mm and I have the same number of links on both sides. I counted and there’s two removable links on each side.

Also about posting pics, if you’re on desktop or mobile, there’s a tab at the bottom of each post which says “upload a file”. Just attach photos from your photos app.

Just got my indigo/craie/orange double tour band in the mail from hermes.com today! I am over the moon with this color combo! Kinda feel like they missed an opportunity to change the excess band length holders to the white or orange colors for a little extra pop, but I’m still very happy nonetheless. I put this band on my 38mm SS Series 3 watch and there’s some noticeable protrusion at the top and bottom of the band connectors, but it’s nothing excessive. Hope the pictures help anyone questioning this band :)

I wasn’t aware the double tour was for males? I always assumed it was for females i guess partially due to apples marketing.

However im glad your enjoying it and thats all that matters.

Hermes and/or Apple unfortunately does market things in a kinda retro gendered way. Personally I like the look of the Double Tour even better on men that I've seen with it than on my own (female) wrist. Not that that's going to stop me from getting one for myself eventually....

Yeah for a fairly progressive company (all the Product Red stuff, the rainbow band, etc.) you'd think they would market in a way that said/hinted 'male' and 'female' a little less. Or not at all.

I know you weren’t, just referencing the over the top political correctness going on lol

Where exactly is this "over-the-top" political correctness you cite going on? Can you give an example from this thread where you've seen this? If you're referring to people respecting the gender identity of others-- including non-binary people-- then that's not political correctness, that's just correctness.

Back to actual Apple Watch news, one of my sales associates at Hermes told me that there should be some red bands for the Apple Watch coming in Spring. I hope that rumor proves true!

Question for the forum

Do you guys/gals think there is very little interest in relsale of Hermes Apple Watch bands? I decided to sell my indigo bleu 44mm band which I’ve never worn. I listed it on the marketplace here and even on craigslist and I have had zero bites. I was wondering what everyone’s opinion was on the future resale interest on these bands. Usually I’ll get someone who replies and wants to negotiate an offer but there’s been absolutely little interest in resale value of this band. It’s never been worn or tried on. I just find it so weird that I’ve had such a little interest in this item I just was wondering what everyone thought.

I’m asking for future reference because it something to consider when purchasing future bands.

Talking about the world in general, not the thread or the site. I’m all for people having the choice, but some of it is getting a bit over the top in the media.
