Here is a photo of my well-worn cuff band from years ago. It’s been through rain, sweaty walks on the beach, and all sorts of environments, yet it still looks pretty darn good. It’s a testament to how well fauve barenia holds up when cleaned properly, and cared for.

Do you mind measuring the width and length of the cuff part of your Hermès cuff band?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like there might be a new variant on the multicolor double tour coming, to match the third dual-color face: https://m.imgur.com/gallery/6BFLcLF
That link doesn’t work on my iPad, but the Hermès website has the new mustard/orange/pink combo single and double tour straps available as of early Monday morning, Nov. 5.
And isn’t mustard/orange/pink EVERYONE’S favorite color combination?

I went into the Stanford Hermes store and they refused to punch an additional hole in the strap, despite the fact that an SA of theirs had said that sending it to the SF store to do so could be done. Since I bought the watch on Hermes.com (and hence could not return to the store), I called Hermes.com. They told me that since I had already paired the watch to my phone, they would not accept returns. They also told me that since punching an additional hole is up to the boutique, I could try calling every Hermes store in the country to see if they could do it!

I know for a fact that numerous members in this forum have been able to get an additional hole punched. Moreover, this YouTube video with nearly 400k views states that an "Apple specialist" allows the punching of an additional hole:

.

I told them that this was unacceptable. Either they would have to find a way to have an additional hole punched for me, or I would need to get the watch returned, as a watch that does not fit is nothing more than an expensive paperweight. They are now talking with their manager to see what can be done. This is truly some of the worst customer service I have experienced from any brand.

Wow - that is really a horrible return policy. On their website it says you have 30 days to return if purchasing online and I don't see where it says the watch can not be paired to your phone. Hope they are incorrect. Otherwise, who would order online something that expensive and not be able to return it.

Thanks guys and/or gals! I now see the Micky D colors every time I look at the new Hermès strap!! I was considering picking it up to have some variety!

I can’t believe they won’t punch additional holes for you. They have a tool and literally takes them less than 3 mins.

I know, right? They claim that the "leather is too delicate," as if one additional hole (8 vs. 7) will compromise the leather. I think it is just a poor excuse. Has anyone in the US had this done? Perhaps there is someone at Hermes I could contact?

That’s utterly ridiculous. If there’s no indication on the website or in the paperwork that the Watch constitutes an exception to their return policy, I’d be straight on the phone with my credit card company forcing a return per Hermes’ written policies.

Of course they can punch another hole. A hide that can’t withstand an additional hole certainly can’t withstand regular wear as a wrist strap. Ugh, I hate it when Hermes SAs pull this crap! Sometimes you get wonderful, luxurious, expert service, but more and more these days some snooty, imperious temp who’s been at the store 3 weeks spouts total crap about “store policy” and “the nature of this leather.”

May I ask who at the Stanford store said you couldn’t get another hole punched? Not asking for a name, I’m asking whether there was some kind of conferencing about this and a group of sales associates and/or manager said no, or was this one employee?

Whatever comes of this, I’d write an email to Hermes customer service in France (access them off the French Hermes site), and let them know that this was your introduction to their brand and US customer service is totally blowing it.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I just sent an e-mail to Hermes France. It was two people at the Stanford store, but they said they were getting the direction from San Francisco.

Yeah that's complete horse ****.

I just got a call from somebody from the store, who informed me they recently started working there. They reiterated the notion that the leather is "too delicate" to have one additional hole punched. As others here would agree, I told them that made no sense and is contrary to the experience others have had. I stood firm and stated that they would either have to get the additional hole punched for me, either through another store or otherwise, or they would need to let me return the item. They said they would get back to me tomorrow.

All this effort for one tiny hole, in a band that you bought from them. Their response sounds ludicrous!

Agree - you would think a luxury brand would have awesome customer service. Instead it is the opposite..... Very sad!

Hermès has some stock of the double tour clown band on their website right now, I managed to get my order in! I’ve been checking every morning since launch :)

Enjoying the AW Series 4 with fauve rally band. Series 4 is such a great improvement over Series 3 :)

Agreed. I bought my Hermès Edition AW4 a few weeks ago and have already loaded myself up with 3 extra Hermès bands, a knockoff Hermès band, and a dozen other strap options. The last AW I owned was the first one, a few years ago, on the stainless link band. This AW4 is night-and-day different (better) from that one. I sold my Rolex last month and replaced it with this and, while I certainly miss wearing a luxury timepiece, this AW4 suits me fine and I’m proud to wear it.
