I got the impression that Tracey had been separated from the others at birth and that Nikki witnessed the abuse that led to the death of Jessica, hence the split personallity.

The doc never mentioned a Jessica. I think Nikki must have had her as a split personality the whole time. Still more questions than answers here.

Either that or, Jessica was a sister in her adopted family that was abused and she created the alternate personality after witnessing the abuse/death.

Did they ever say that Jessica was a twin sister?

I don't recall, when Nikki met her dad, did he know who Jessica was? or did he claim that he had no clue who Jessica was? Jessica may have just been the personality to switch over to during the abuse to keep it from really affecting her normal life.

What is weird is how Peter ended up getting Gabriel's power.. by fixing a watch?!? WTF?

Sylar's power was in understand how things work by manipulating pieces physically, whether it's watches or brains.

Peter learns superpowers by absorbing them from those around him. With the watch, Sylar merely gave Peter an easy example to learn how to use the newly absorbed ability.

I'm hoping for multiple giant fight scenes with all this possibility of many more people gaining superpowers.

i think the split personality was a side effect of whatever wacky experiments the doctor did to nikki and her sisters. jessica never existed and is in her head and was suppressed when she is on drugs. and nikki's father is probably talking more metaphorically about killing jessica by making her go away in therapy when she was younger.

yes, they said she was a twin sister. for the rest, see above.

same here. i'm tired of all of the good guys having somewhat passive powers like mind reading, prophetic visions (dreams, painting, etc), powers you can't really fight with, while the bad guys do. good guys don't just use their powers to talk and for the most part useless in a fight, they have powers on the offensive.

Actually after a bit of googling I found the Heroes wiki which says

We are assuming they are twins... there has been no canonical reference to them being twin sisters. All we know for sure is that they are sisters and Jessica died at age 11. It is quite reasonable that Jessica was the older sister who has somehow been absorbed by the younger after her death. - User:Johngon

The debate continues as to which was older and what the power actually is but I'm leaning towards the following with no clear resolution on who the older sister was.

It's entirely probable that Jessica was an adoptive sister and Nikki's power of super strength manifested with the split personality much like other's powers have shown up when under stress. Nikki's super strength is her own but early on the Jessica personality was the only one that could access it.

or so my theory goes.

Pretty slow ep tonight until the end revelation of Parkman's Dad playing mind tricks on everyone. Nice trick. And what is Mr. Patrelli's power? Must be pretty strong.

I think Hiro must have put a blood pack in Ando.

Anyone else sick of Claire's Mom?

actually, it's confirmed that jessica was the younger (probably adoptive) sister of nikki, since jessica was born in 1976 and nikki was born in 1974.

but last night's episode was mostly a stinker, expect the part where ando died and we saw parkman's daddy and mr. petrelli running the show at the end. the whole claire drama sounded stupid and seemed to just waste time, and i didn't like the idea of the experimenting with children to give them powers, sounded slightly cheesy. and not enough action.

I think it was a good episode and I agree the senior Parkman/Patrelli reveal was great.

I still can't accept that Ando is dead. I get that Hiro was concerned after seeing himself be killed by Ando and that he's trying to save the world, but to kill his best friend without much internal conflict is a bit hard to understand.

Claire's portion of the show was a bit slow for me. But it has potential with the emotional issues between her, her dad and Sylar.

The experimenting makes sense since there was always a scientific aspect to the show with the companies involved and Suresh's work. It definitely adds to Nathan's story since he became a man of God. Also, it sets up another faction. There's heroes vs. villans and synthetics vs. the companies.

All in all I'm looking forward to the next show.

I loved the whole Parkman/Petrelli thing at the end too. That was great. Plus, the "Puppet Master" as NBC called him in next weeks promo is super creepy. Personally, this episode was not as good as some of the earlier ones this season. Expect for when Steven killed himself (I liked Steven, but that was great how that happened) and when Hiro killed Ando. I can't believe that happened; I just can't. I hope people start to see Sylar as the good guy inside and he becomes what future Sylar is (will be?). But the promo for next week's episode looks really good. I can't wait to see what happens.

Oh yeah, can we please get some definite info on Mohinder? What's wrong with him and what exactly is he doing with those people. Are they dead? That would make me alternatively happy and sad; I both like and hate Maya. In reality, I like Alejandro much better, too bad Sylar had to kill him.

I don't really like the line that they are taking with Claire. I suspect they are bringing you along her transformation from ditzy blonde to tough brunette and why she made the transformation.

I'm a little surprised by Hiro killing Ando. I suspect that may be the reason for the revenge in the future. It can't be the end of that relationship, I fully expect to see him go back and save Ando. If they don't, then it's a really stupid way to kill his character off. Perhaps this is the start of the serious bad ass Hiro that we saw come back from the future and talk to Peter on the subway in season 1.

Which way do you think Nathan will take the news that he's not a messenger from God but enhanced in a lab? Now that we know Matt's father is doing the mind trick thing, who really saved Nathan? Or does he have a hidden power he doesn't know about...

I'm a little dissapointed in the direction they took Suresh. He was the grounding force for the show and now he's a complete freak. Maya seems to be getting hotter though ;)

I like the new twists with Nathan and Parkmans dad.

Now that we know there's a Barbara out there, should we expect her this season or next season. I suppose Nathan will end up with one of them from the flash forward, but did they name the first lady?

The show id still fun to watch, but was it me or did they use some subtle LOST music in last nights episode? Especially when Linderman kept dissapearing.

Ando is still alive. Heroes never kills off any character

I say it's the Bill & Ted paradigm. Plan that you're going to travel back in time and do something to affect the now. Hiro is probably going to plant a fake blood thing in Ando's Shirt and tell him to not tell his present self.

Present Peter could have saved him with his blood, the company could have saved him with extra claire blood or something.

This is my problem with Heroes. It's okay to kill some characters off. Stop introducing new ones when we don't have answers for certain ones.

It would've been just as great to kill of Ali Larter's character but bringing her back as Tracy is stupid. What's next? Are they bringing back West too? LOL.

I called it.

When Season 2 was just starting up I said if they brought Nathan back it would ruin it for me. That said, I even watched The 4400 until the end of Season 3 so I suppose I should stick this one out as well.

Uhh, what about Issac?

But that's really funny. The Bill and Ted paradigm. I could actually see that happening, though it's a little far-fetched.

Wasn't keen on that episode. Parkmans dad? Forgot about him so much I didn't even recognise or care about his character when I found out who it was.

It's all getting a bit new Jonny Quest.

I guess I should have said "popular characters."

Catering to the masses is what gets a show stale. Especially a show as 'geeky' as Heroes is.

So far, Ali Larter (and whoever everyone is) should be dead, Nathan Petrilli, Sylar.

And the characters they do get rid of aren't ever mentioned again by anyone. Peter's had two "love" interests and nothings mentioned. Nathan has a wife and kids and you never hear about him doing visits or wanting to see them. Claire has West and he disappeared. Hiro's sister?

on the dead people, remember the first rule of comics, believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. supposedly dead characters come back unlike the rest of tv dramas. i say never count them dead until you see a body.

on the disappearing people, first off, peter's girlfriends, one is dead and the other one i'm guessing does not exist anymore since she is still in a future that does not exist (blame the strike). nathan is forbidden to see the wife and kids, and frankly has other things on his mind right now. west, i think will show up again, but i'm not sure. hiro's sister is probably just a one time apperance. but i think most of them will eventually come back.
