In lieu of the clever and thrifty things we've enjoyed in countless setups seen in the
"Post Your Mac Setup: Past & Present" thread, it's time to show off your own personal DIY projects.

These may include but are certainly not limited to:

home/office/dorm/garage/lawn/patio/theatre/attic/kitchen/bathroom projects.
Projects can be as big as DIY home theatre, or as a small as a pop can lamp.

Pictures are most encouraged (your own or projects you've found). Most anything and everything homemade counts.
Money savers are best (think MacGyver)! Keep us updated with your progress, or post your already finished product.

Please use tags for images larger than 800 pixels wide and for the love, don't quote images.
If you want to see the picture that a post is referring to, you can press this button: [IMG]http://images.macrumors.com/vb/images/buttons/viewpost.gif.

I'm going to start getting this back to its glory after it being sat outside for a year:

It's a Peugeot 306 XSi, with about 120,000 miles on the clock. I've already bought it new rear lights to get it back to standard, hopefully picking up a new rear bumper for it and smaller alloys for it.

All of the work will be carried out by me and my best mate.

A side part of the project will be getting my driving license back after the monumental f-up by the DVLA which brought the car off of the road in the first place.

I made this magnetic 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube a couple weeks ago. It took me about 3 days in the garage drilling and gluing, but in the end, I am very happy with the results. Ive been looking to sell it, but have yet to get many offers, so Im just gunna see what happens. If anyone is interested, make an offer :D

I was wondering about that… I spotted the jars in the corner. ;)

Not too sure about the glass vases on top though… the dust is going to be hell to keep off…

Nice work. :)

Haha, good eye.

They do collect dust, but I try not to think of it. :p Didn't wanna store them; they are all vases from flowers I've sent to my wife and she wants to keep them. There are some plants up their now too for a little more color.

It's still a WIP hindered by a round of swine flu in the house, but we're doing the bathroom up. The shower broke so we though we should do the whole bathroom up as a wetroom. Scrapped that idea and decided to do the room up and stick in a steam shower cabin.

All to stick one of these beauties in;
