The only thing limiting these amazing devices is the software currently. The previous two generations of the iPad Pros are no slouches. Getting this year’s new iPad Pro over the previous generation really isn’t going to do much for most people. Yes it’s faster but it’s iPadOS 15 and future releases that will allow users to do more with their iPads. I have an iPad Air 3 and I do like the idea of getting an iPad Pro but it isn’t going to do anything new for me at this time.

I’m hoping with new thunderbolt connector and external monitor support that Apple will allow for a better multi display setup. ??

I think by now we should know they already have one or two generations ahead working through the process. What does this mean? You will see a new iPad next year, and then a new Pro later same year or following year. And it will "blow" this one out of the water, for some people. I don't get what the big hype for this release is, but hey if you have the money go for it.

I upgraded from the 10.5 to the 2020 11 pro because I got the Airpods and wanted spatial audio, that was my reason which to others it may be silly but for me it was a reason to upgrade.
big hype is partly ignorance, partly justified. Ignorance for those that say, wow M1 is so much faster... M1 is nothing special, it is just a A14X speed, roughly the same increase that led from A10X to A12X and with ARM v9 M2 will be at least the same jump from M1 as M1 was from A12X...
Now where it's justified is because of the RAM and the fact that they removed nothing from the MacOS M1, which sounds like a big hint to big changes coming on the software front....
Some people say it's just economies of scale, I don't think so, if it was they wouldn't have given a 16GB RAM option. We'll discover in June...

Actually, I believe A10X to A12X is a bigger jump than A12X/Z to M1.

They would have to make the device even thinner and sacrifice certain components in order to have the same weight in a much bigger size. Many people can't even hold a 15" tablet anyways.

It’s primarily intended for stationary use just like the 12.9 that hardly anyone takes outside.

No and no. Sure, better blacks but the battery life is not true.

Also, too many issues for pretty much the only benefit of true blacks.

MiniLED FTW! All day, everyday! :)

But it has so many more dimming zones than Mini-LED, not to mention those true blacks from being able to individually control each pixel... and better battery life... and well... uhh...
