Never ever will i download these betas again, Apple should allow you if you tap software update to override a beta version versus a final version, now if your last back-up is 9.1 you cannot update to the 9.0 Errrrr...

Yes same thing here. I hear that if your last iTunes backup was done while you had 9.1, even if you restore your device to 8.4.1 and update the device to 9.0 that back up you have will not work because is 9.1 and your phone is 9.0, which means you're screwed until a general release of 9.1 comes out. I'm pissed !

Not like it's under the FAQs on the AppleSeed website:

Ok that would be annoying, I'm hoping that there is still a solution.

I was happy to be a beta tester for a while but now its only 0.1 changes I'd prefer to go back to the security of a proper released version of iOS

Fingers crossed...

I managed to delete my iTunes backup, without restoring my iPhone back to iOS 8.4 (on 9.1 Beta now). So that means I have to stay on Beta until the final release of 9.1, right? Any ideas when that will happen?

Apple should have never allowed regular customers who are not developers and might not know what they're getting into to download betas, I hear they're lots of people now finding out they've pretty much screwed there phones until a 9.1 final version is released to fix this

Okey, take it down a nacho... I can assume that VERY many people who are trying this know what they are doing... Well, yeah sure there are people who doesn't know what they are doing... I just say, that when iOS 9.1 came out, they didn't think they can't downgrade to IOS 9, full...

I think you're putting too much importance on iOS backups as the reason for people being screwed. Sure, it's a hassle to do a clean install and set everything up again but at least its reassuring to know that the majority of apps keep their documents/data in the cloud and not on the phone itself. As for the apps themselves, they can be reinstalled.

All you really lose is time.
