I opened Localizable.strings in TextEdit, but after changing the IV9 line, it said I don't have appropriate access privileges to save it.

Any help?

Thanks.

:)
Open Terminal
sudo su -
cd /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj
vi Localizable.strings

edit, save, done :)

Copy it to the desktop, edit it, then copy it back to the original location. It will ask you to authenticate (i.e. enter your password).

desktop icons? What are they?

I keep my desktop completely clean. Its much nicer that way. I occasionally drop files on it while i'm working, but they all get cleaned up when that project is done.

Mine!

Desktop icons on my Mac mini - time for a Drobo!

Just noticed they're not aligned - a quick cleanup fixed that hehe
