I got to say I am underwhelmed. Guess I was expecting a lot of new features and options but after tinkering with it for a little bit, I gotta say I am underwhelmed.

How do you feel about iOS 10 after installing GM?

I have to say I'm satisfied. I don't miss iOS 9 at all.
I love love love the built in home kit functions... there are tons of little things I like as well... like print to PDF, clear all safari tabs, clear all notifications, emoji predictions, quick reply, voicemail predictions, way better 3D Touch, better photos app, new, maps... I do like the new music app.
My biggest complaint is Notification Center and Control center... it now takes more work to scan between difrent control center pages. I also don't like that the tabs are gone from NC. I also hate how NC doesn't stay where I put it... for the most part, I could give a rats ass about my notifications. I would prefer if there was a way for it to stay on today view.. because I use that a lot more... but unfortunately it resets to notifications every time you close Notification Center

There are some things I like in iOS and there I things I dislike. It definitley doesn't feel like "the biggest update" to me.
The now playing screen on the lockscreen looks horrible in my opinion, the controls are just way to large. Same with the new notifications, they just take up way to much space and look a lot worse than before.
I love the new launch animations and the ability to delete stock apps tought.

iOS10 has grown on me. But I can't help be disappointed on the lack of thought for the iPad and iPad Pro line.
It looks hokey on the 12.9 screen, lots of wasted space and use of tech.
Apple needs to create separate os' for those devices.
Also, your poll needs a middle ground.
I wouldn't say it is awesome but I also wouldn't say "meh, not impressed."

I chose the "Awesome" button, but I probably am actually somewhere between that and "Not Impressed"...
Honestly, iOS 10 is the best iOS ever (just as Apple says); but it's not earth-shattering like iOS 7 was with the new UI and layout, nor was it truly as "Awesome" as iOS 8 was with its massive extensions/keyboards and power-user features, etc., or awesome as iOS 5 was with its new notification system, social integration, or camera and reminders.
I'm underwhelmed that Apple put so much UI chrome padding back into the notifications; I was a fan of the clean look from iOS 7/8/9.
But it's pretty cool to see the updated/refreshed Control Center, Maps, Contacts, News, and Music apps.
I do like the new Bedtime alarm feature; actually successfully used that this morning, in fact.
Nice to know we could delete (hide, actually) stock apps.
Overall, iOS 10 is what we expect from Apple these days; a refreshed look with some new functionality in a best-of-class package. And honestly there are probably tons of little things that add up to a lot, that I have't even found yet (such as the Print to PDF features, that an earlier poster pointed out).
Not every release will be as bombastically ground-breaking as the technological ramp-ups of past iOS releases.

They've done that already with the side-by-side apps for tablets; now they just need to take it a step or two further to optimize use of devices with expanded visual real estate.

I'd been running the developer preview on an old iPad rMini so not really using on a daily basis. Updated that and decided to install the GM on my iPhone 6 last night, and whilst I think it's an improvement on 9, there's nothing awesome about it.

It's probably more of an iOS 9.4 than an iOS 10. There are no must haves like the old days.
That control center and that CLOCK WITH THAT BOLD ..WHY?? . And I am not used with the brightness bar; i swipe to music everytime I want to dimm the brightness .

Working fine for me. Animations (like opening / closing folders and apps) seem faster and more fluid than on 9.3.5 (or whatever the latest was), and I'm kind of liking the new widget-screen and the widgets therein.
Other than that the phone still does what I need it to do, so I'm happy with it. So yeah, somewhere between "Awesome" and "Meh", but more on the positive side.

Is the behaviour of closing apps that were located in folders a bit different? I feel like in iOS 9, you'd go straight to the home screen, and in iOS 10 you go the last folder opened.
Interesting. I'm on a 6+, and even the iOS10 Betas were definitely more performant than iOS9 starting with, I think, Beta4.

The GM is the first iOS 10 I've installed and I really like it and much prefer the lock screen that allows you to interact better with notifications and widgets by unlocking without going to the home screen after.
However, I really, really dislike the new fonts and extra large / extra bold icons in the music app: it looks as much a mess as I feared after seeing the keynote!

It's really a mixed bag for me, though on average I'd say it's a good upgrade. There are just a bunch of places where the UI has taken bizarre steps backward.
- Notifications: Probably the biggest mixed bag of all. How you feel about the new notifications probably depends on whether your device has 3D Touch. On a 6S, the ability to hard press on a notification and get an expanded view is a breath of fresh air. It's really a pleasure to use. On other devices though, it's a clear step backward. On iOS 8-9, you would swipe right-to-left on a lock screen notification to see the quick actions. Now, that action brings up View and Clear buttons. You then have to press View to see the quick actions, adding an extra step. Worse, the expanded notification view then appears at the top of the screen, forcing you to move your hand to take further action (on 3D Touch devices, the notification stays in place and expands from there). There are also other oddities that don't depend on the device you are using. When expanding a Mail notification for a preview, you get a horrid mess of HTML code. This is basically what you got in iOS 8-9 when you would pull down of a banner notification for Mail. But, when you go into the Mail app and 3D Touch "peek" at the message, all the HTML code is rendered properly and the preview shows what the message would actually look like. The "rich" notification should work the same way. Another weird one is quick reply for Messages. The compose field and send button are now down by the keyboard, which is a welcome change. But, the compose field no longer expands past 2.5 lines of text, which is a pain. Also, if you tap on the notification area to switch into the full Messages app, anything you typed in the quick reply field is gone. It doesn't transfer over like it did in iOS 9, which is a huge step backward. Overall, I think the new notification system has potential, which we will surely see as 3rd party apps are allowed to implement rich notifications. But, for now, there are aspects that feel like downgrades from iOS 9.
- Music: I'm one of those people who likes the new Music app overall. While navigation is still not totally intuitive, it is still a big step forward over the iOS 9 app. For starters, we no longer have a search field in every tab of the app, meaning you don't have to hunt for the tab that contains your search results. And while everyone seems to be down on the larger text and controls, I find these larger touch targets to be a godsend, as I often use the Music app while exercising or in the car. I do miss how album pages and the now playing screen used to change color based on the album art. I also miss how you could easily see what you had recently played from the Up Next screen in the iOS 9 app. But, that's about it. I love the new for you mixes, and split view on iPad is worth the price of admission alone.
- Control Center: Another area where I have mixed feelings. The control center was definitely getting crowded, so breaking it up into multiple cards may not be the worst decision. But, making this change and then NOT allowing users to customize which controls go on each card is almost unforgivable. Why do AirPlay Mirroring and Nightshift deserve to be on my main card when I hardly ever toggle them? Why can't I put music controls on the main card when I use them every day? And having two cards is a huge waste of space on the iPad. Overall, I'm not a huge fan, though it does look nice.
- Widgets: Finally, we get a Weather widget that is somewhere close to what we had on iOS 5-6!!! Many of the other widgets are nice too. But, since you still can't put these on a home screen (particularly disheartening on an iPad), this is basically nothing more than slapping a new coat of paint on the Today Notification Center widgets from iOS 8-9. Not a whole lot of new functionality here.
- Maps: The new features put the app much closer to competitors. Unfortunately, after using it for a few weeks, I have to conclude that the map data is still years behind Google and other competitors. Search for POIs is still atrocious too. Many times, it shows me results from clear across the country. Even some of the new features are bizarrely limited. While en route, I can pull up the bottom bar and there are buttons to find gas or food on the route. But why can't I search for other POIs like a grocery store? The Maps app is definitely a big improvement over iOS 9, but I'll still be staying with Google Maps for the foreseeable future.
- Messages: All the changes Apple implemented here are nice and enhance the app. I will say the new UI for calling up the camera in app is a bit weird. Overall, I really like these changes!
- HomeKit and News App: I don't ever use these so I can't really comment.
- Small Features: Voicemail transcription, split view Safari on iPad, print to PDF, and smarter Hey Siri section between my 6S and my iPad Pro are all welcome improvements!
This is one of the most idiotic decisions I've seen Apple make. It defies explanation.
Boggles the mind that this is still an issue. The fix is so easy.
Add in how atrocious Siri is compared to Google Now and Cortana. I just have no idea how Apple can make such horrible design and usability decisions and have them persist for multiple years.
