What is the point of this? iOS7 does it automatically?
EDIT: Will you save battery? Or use less cellular data?

Saves battery power.

It doesn't do it automatically, it just replaces the 3G/LTE status bar icon with a Wifi icon. You can test this by enabling the tweak then checking Settings, Mobile will go off.

No special reason. Just i like to do that. I know iOS does that but it does not explicitly turn off cellular data.

How do you setup or where's the tweak to turn off wife when on 3G or vis versa?

If I try to assign any gesture to activate Siri, it just gives me a black screen. Anyone know why or how to fix this?

Is anyone able to turn off the default behavior of single or double tapping the status bar causing certain apps (safari, messages) to auto-scroll to the top?

Best advice I could give is set up some gestures to preserve your buttons.

I have swipe status bar left for home button and swipe it right to lock device. Pretty slick.

Couldn't agree more I got

Double tap status bar: acts as hitting home button in app
Single tap status bar : puts phone in sleep mode

In lock screen

Tap left on status bar: brings up twitter
Tap right on status bar: brings up FB
2x tap center: brings up bitesms

1. Tapping the status bar while on springboard to lock the phone, this is so that i can avoid using the sleep/power button.
2. Automatically turn off cellular data when i connect to wifi.

How do you do #2? I could not figure it out!!

I am much like the OP I just started using this app, so I'm learning. Have experience on android apps like tasker and llama

Select Anywhere, Joined Wifi Network, then scroll down to the Deactivate Switches section and choose Cellular Data. Then do the same thing for Left Wifi Network except choose the Activate Switches and then choose enable Cellular Data.

I use these events too but instead disable LTE when connected to wifi. Then once I go outside and I'm out of range, LTE turns back on automatically. For me this is much better.

Does this actually save battery? Or are you doing it for other reasons?

that's exactly what I do too after I learned you can do this :D

take what I say with a grain of salt but I read a while back LTE actually uses less power than 3G/4G, but the reason why it seems to suck up more battery when enabled is because of the lack of VoLTE

Because there is no VoLTE, the 3G/4G radio is still enabled when you enable LTE, so then that's why enabling LTE uses up more battery

You'll notice that if you're on LTE, the second you get that ringtone from someone calling you, that LTE symbol will immediately jump down to 3G/4G without stuttering so I think this may actually be the case (both radios being enabled)

Can anyone point me how i need to in music app while charging to prevent phone to not go to sleep or locked? Sorry if this sounds stupid..

Easiest way would probably be to have an activator action to enable/disable auto lock. Or you can install flipcontrolcenter and have a toggle to enable/disable auto lock

On the lock screen - long hold power button - do nothing (suppress original action). This keeps your phone from being shut off while locked :) this in combination with FlipControlCenter lock toggles like airplane and wifi helps in the event your phone is stolen.

This is why I like IGotYa.. It lets you disable powering down on the lockscreen (as well as emailing the GPS location and picture of the person trying to do so). ;-)

I had a tweak installed on iOS 5.1.1 named "Dim to Black", it would not let the phone get locked but would dim the screen to black and hence i could just tap the screen to get it back and no need to slide to unlock everytime.
But this is not for when you are keeping phone in pocket and such, it is only when it is on say desk or something and you want phone to get not locked.

I know you can set the lock timeout to large value like 30 Minutes but i chose the tweak instead.

turn off cellular data when joining wifi

i use activator when it detects joining wifi to disable lte but not 3g.
i thought turning off cellular data will stop you from receiving SMS from non-iphone friends. is that the case?

no turning off cellular data only disables 3g/4g, calls and sms will not be affected. However you need 3g/4g or wifi to receive and send iMessages.

good to know. i modified my activator to turn off cellular data now. thanks!

You right, that's exactly why i need it for, only when i have my phone in the cradle in my car. Thx.
