substrate problem

Anyone have a link on or know how to fix the problem where all tweaks are disabled when activator is installed. I forgot to take a screenshot but the prompt says something about mobile substrate not working and safe mode, all tweaks are then disabled. I am on a 5s.

What do you use for this?

I've tried SuperScroller, which works but it is slow. I wanted to use something that is instant (takes me to the top of a web page, or bottom of the webpage, without scrolling).

Mine activates Bluetooth and 3G when I leave my home wifi. I usually go to my car right after so I would need to do that anyway. Is there a way to open an app like Spotify when I connect my device to the Bluetooth in my car? It would save a little hassle. This way when I press the connect button in my car, it would automatically open Spotify for me.

I also have it setup so that it enables the ringer when I leave school network. I usually forget to enable the sound back on and miss calls.

Scrolling to top or bottom on long pages. Works in any app, including your browser.

Just slide out at the bottom to go to the bottom or slide out at the top to go to the top. Or use an Activator action for this you want.

The tweak I am using for this is TapToScroll for Activator. It's in the BigBoss repo.

When you install it you will get two addons to Activator (Scroll to Top and Scroll to Bottom). Just assign whatever Activator action you want to them.

Perfect. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks!

1. Tapping the status bar while on springboard to lock the phone, this is so that i can avoid using the sleep/power button.
2. Automatically turn off cellular data when i connect to wifi.

I tried this, along with turning cellular data on when I disconnect from wifi. However, cellular data only turns on if I manually disconnect from wifi. If I leave the house away from wifi, cellular data remains off. Do you have yours set differently?

I have not kept any setting for enabling of cellular data since at night i keep both data and wifi off.

Try rebooting your phone and see if it helps. I've got 3G off/on depending on whether I'm on wifi or not, and I see it switch automatically when I go to the basement where I have no wifi connection.

I'm surprised no one posted in this thread has this, so I guess I overestimated its usefulness. I have mine setup to automatically play music when I connect my earphones. It's useful when I get in the car and I just plug it in and the music starts playing through my car speakers.

I installed this but I don't see the new options in Activator. I'm using a 5S tho

You can't overestimate its usefulness - because it's useful to you :) But me for instance, I don't always use my headphones when I plug them in, and when I do I often use other apps (Movie Box, Videos, Downcast, Spotify...).

Select Anywhere, Joined Wifi Network, then scroll down to the Deactivate Switches section and choose Cellular Data. Then do the same thing for Left Wifi Network except choose the Activate Switches and then choose enable Cellular Data.

I use these events too but instead disable LTE when connected to wifi. Then once I go outside and I'm out of range, LTE turns back on automatically. For me this is much better.

Sorry I must be blind. From anywhere, I cant see "Joined Wifi network". I have a 6.1 JB. Is this an option only with the 7.04 JB?

Thanks in advance

The newer options are in the Activator Betas. I believe you have to add r.petrich's repo.

Yeah, I don't know about the 5s. It works on my 5 under iOS 6.1, but it was a tweak that was out before the Evasi0n 6.x jailbreak so I'm not surprised it isn't working on newer hardware.

Oh my bad. What version do you have installed? The wifi option was added in 1.8.2 which was released on December 31. Not sure if that's in BigBoss or Ryan Petrich's private repo at:

I've currently got mine set up with the following;

Join Wifi - Deactivate cellular data
Leave wifi - Activate cellular data
Volume up short hold - Next track
Volume down short hold - Previous track
Plug in earbuds - Activate Music & play
Unplug earbuds - Pause current song

Think that's it though

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to keep the phone from locking after the 3 minutes of inactivity if one is in a given app? I have an alarm clock/dock & since it's charging anyway, I'd like to have it stay on & show the time on-screen.

You know the song pauses when you unplug the headset even without Activator, right? ;)

Ive been looking for app-specific settings like that but haven't found any.

Is there a way to 'restore to default' option? Or delete all the set up?

EDIT: I just found it :)

In all honesty, I've played music with my 5s exactly wo times; once on a flight to Dallas & once on the trip back. Guess ya learn something new every day.

On the lock screen - long hold power button - do nothing (suppress original action). This keeps your phone from being shut off while locked :) this in combination with FlipControlCenter lock toggles like airplane and wifi helps in the event your phone is stolen.

This is exactly what I have.

Volume rocker track skip is a great idea for activator. That is a tweak android instilled in me a long time ago..

I don't know if anyone else has seen but Pandora has come out with an alarm clock included in their app, and it looks awesome. I believe it just came out today so I haven't been able to use it but I messed around with it a little bit and the only bad thing I see is that you have to actually open the app and turn on the alarm clock setting every night before you go to bed. I had an idea to possibly make activator open up and turn on this alarm clock whenever you plug it into a charger. Don't know if that's possible? I know I could set it up to open the Pandora application whenever a charger is plugged in but I don't know that that will actually enable the alarm clock setting. Maybe somebody could mess around with this a bit and possibly figure it out. I think it would be awesome .

No worries. Updated to the latest activator and now I see it.

Thanks again.

I don't use the WiFi options for turning cellular on/off. That's cool, but I already have Smart 3G + LTE which turns WiFi on when WiFi is found and cellular off and cellular on and WiFi off when there is no WiFi.

AFAIK Wifi "sleeps" when phone is locked. How do notifications come through then? Have you noticed a real battery gain from this?

I can't tell you exactly how it works, but notifications do come through when wifi is enabled (and connected ;)) and cellular data disabled even when the phone is locked.

Not something I've ever thought of before, but I would guess that the radios cycle during that "sleep" time and Smart3G stays on top of it.

In any case, I've not missed notifications and battery life has been good.

I'm not always using this tweak though. I got it partly to rid myself of the annoyance of always having to turn WiFi on.

Now that Sprint has LTE in my areas, turning WiFi on isn't such a big deal anymore (I have an unlimited, unthrottled, unmetered plan).

I want to be able to use "slide in from bottom" to start quick reply with bitesms @ lock screen, but I cant get it to work either on iOS 6 nor iOS 7 using iPhone 5 / 5S, anyone knows if this is a common problem?
