I probably missed this thing due to a plane flight. But once landed, i was able to order one for pickup in store - given maybe had to refresh couple times in between connection flights.

4:59 PST start force closing the app and loading it but like 30 times a minute until it opens up
it's a pain heart starts racing but normally works well.
last year had my order in at 8:01am EST

It’s an anxiety-inducing process that I’m not looking forward to, but I wish everyone the best of luck.
I think this year will be one of the worst, iPhone fatigue, economy not so hot, and cost, and the 15 PM is not that novel...
Yes there’s a good chance. IIRC last year it opened up early for some people but not everyone, and many folks were left hitting refresh wondering why they weren’t being let in. But eventually most everyone who were up that early were able to secure a day 1 delivery.
One last tip for folks who are using multiple devices and want to go wild. These types of changes generally populate across multiple CDNs and servers in different geographic regions, so there will be slight variations in which region comes back online first. If you want to increase your odds, diversify which region you connect to. For example:
1. Have your cell phone connected directly to your wireless carrier (not WiFi)
2. Have your iPad connected to your WiFi using the Apple Store app
3. Have your Mac connected to your WiFi/LAN through the web site using iCloud Private Relay
While there's generally very little difference, when I did this with for my last iPhone purchase I found that my iPhone connected to my cell carrier came back first, my iPad required me to manually kill it and refresh, the Mac had an incomplete cache that caused the checkout to bomb midway through.
Note: iCloud Private Relay wasn't in the picture last time, though I wonder if it will be the first to come back this time.

I secured launch day while closer to noon. You just need to refresh often to pick up the spot of who changed their mind throughout the day.

If you haven’t already, you might want to disable Background App Refresh for every app except the Apple Store.
Worst case scenario if you don’t order in the first 24 hours: Your desired colour with the specific storage sell out and you need to wait an extra 1-2 weeks.
can I ”test cart” a MacBook Pro except I just keep it instead? Haha.
1000% don’t use private relay. In fact I would disable it and restart safari, not just disable it for the one time. Every millisecond counts. Then turn it back on after of course.
I can’t wait for the supreme Apple Store tomorrow to open up tomorrow. Fail to checkout and then refresh completely OOS.
Considering I have the other two options (neither of which use it since they’re apps) I’m going to leave it on as an experiment.
My performance with Private Relay recently has been similar to when it’s off, and that’s on a 1Gb symmetric wired connection. I’ve noticed Apple has spun up more Private Relay servers so it’s getting better geographically distributed, and I’d wager that they’re collocating them with other Apple servers to minimize latency for their services. At the very least they’d place more CDNs PoP near the Private Relay servers to minimize round trip request time and increase capacity.
That is a load of 💩. Same thing was said about the 14 Pro/Max and it was an issue. I myself had the problem and ordered with in 1-2 minutes. Suppose to have had it on launch day and got pushed back a week by Apple. The 15PM will be even more in demand this year and surpass last year sales.
iPhone is an exception to the rule. Everyone suddenly has money for it even when they don’t.
The trade in deals are too enticing. 11 Dollars a month for an iPhone 15 pro on a plan that I would have had anyway, its unbeatable. That’s coffee money.
Lol. Relax everyone. During the XS launch, yea good ol days when east coast had to be up at 3am! I got online and at checkout got an At&t error that my bill was past due! Forgot to pay day before! Had to sign into AT&T pay my bill then went BACK to Apple Store to finish the transaction and still got it on launch day. 🤣🤣. Talk about anxiety, didn’t help was running on 1 hour sleep!
I have a feeling these series 15s may not be as popular as previous years. Those with a 14 Pro don’t get too many additional features, and perhaps even the 13s. The significant upgrade begins with those holding a 12 or earlier. So, unless they have reduced manufacturing, they could support first day deliver for a several minutes, hopefully. In all the years I purchased a phone in release day, I was always able to get the model I wanted right away by connecting right at opening. And if you can’t, the best time to get one in store is the first weekend. They get tons of stock for launch weekend, so refresh your page often, early in the morning to grab one when they enter new stock into their system.
I've never NOT received a preorder on launch day. In 15 years of being an iPhone customer. Sometimes ordering 30-60 minutes after preorders opened. People are stressing for no reason IMHO.
