Other How fast do the pre-orders sell out and are bots involved?

I've never NOT received a preorder on launch day. In 15 years of being an iPhone customer. Sometimes ordering 30-60 minutes after preorders opened. People are stressing for no reason IMHO.

I remember trying to order the iPhone 4 on order day. I started at 3 am and tried for about 7 1/2 hours to get through. I finally gave up and went to lunch and to see the movie The A Team. I got back around 4 pm and got right in and still received the phone on release day.

Last year I woke up on the hour, refreshed the store a couple times... set up the first pickup appointment at a nearby store and was back to sleep 3 minutes after the hour. super smooth.

Don’t think It will be sold out maybe after an hour certain colors and storage options will be pushed back to oct deliveries…

Could be easy to get with the interest rate rises, cost of living and price increases on everything.

Interestingly my Mac on iCloud Private Relay came back first. My iPad (same ISP as my Mac) and iOS apps (cellular provider) are still showing “Almost there” even though I’ve already completed checkout on my Mac. I also had Firefox on my Mac (not using Private Relay) and it, too, was still "Almost there."

16 minutes after orders opened and the App Stores are still "Almost there" -- weird.

One last update at 18 after: Titanium 256 Pro Max deliveries are now at Oct 4-9, but all of the other Pro Max variants still have release day delivery.

Well, I kept logging in, logging in, logging in......for 30 minutes......and now my pre-ordered phone shows arrival date: OCT 9 - OCT 16.

That really sucks.......since I went through all the hassle of doing everything right......and, again, their servers could not handle "order day".

Yet, the guy at the desk next to me, ordered the same exact blue 256 IPM at the same time and has a delivery day of next Fri the 22nd.

Really frustrating experience…

I suspect this happened to many people - Got through shortly after 5 PDT only to have the session expire and our delivery date slip from Sept 22 to October 9-16.

My session expired as well but I was able to get a Sep 22 delivery date. It's always an adventure with preorder day iPhones.

With all the errors T-Mobile gave me I thought I was screwed but I got titanium with a 22nd delivery!

Got home, and at about 8:45 decided to upgrade my partner too with a 22nd delivery date for the base pink 15. She’s coming from a 13 mini. Next Friday is going to be a blast!
